11'6" Ron House Pope tri-sect on the way!
« on: August 06, 2007, 05:57:23 AM »
Pope Bisect/Trisect has just cut a deal with one of the hottest shapers in the SUP market Ron House[-details of when the boards will be available has not been made public.  I was e-mailed this picture from  the Bisect group and thought I would pass it on.

Someone had mentioned here that some of these will be one piece as well.  Is that correct?

It would seem from the discussion here, and what people are asking about, and are interested in, on the beach, that a surf model in the low 9's, a surf model in the low 10's, and possibly even a small women's surf model in the mid 8's (complete market void outside of custom) would be great choices.

Randy,

Thanks for the input-I was on the phone with Ron today and we will be bringing out smaller shapes as the sport evolves.  As for one piece SUP's we are discussing it as this post is being written.  We can make both out of the same mold.   Ron House may sign up today and will be happy to get involved in any questions you may have.  Thanks again!

Cheers,

Pope bisect/trisect

Kurt,

YOu got it-Ron House has given us the greenlight to go ahead with a new line of one piece Epoxy SUP's on all the models that we will be making Pope Bisects from.  WE are looking at a 9'6, 10'6, 11'6 and a 12'.  Possibly even other models down the road(kids model, 8'6 girls line).  I will keep you posted.  Good luck with Ron's handshaped boards-your biggest problem will be keeping them in stock!

Cheers,

Hi guys,

I am glad to hear you are considering a girls/kids 8’6 model.  The industry is a bit behind on this one.  If the current 9’0-9’6’s are being ridden well by 165-200 lb men, where are the ripper boards for us smaller riders?  When women, girls and kids can carry a circa 15 lb board to the water, and then actually sink the rail, consider the impact on that market!  In Maui, at least 30% of the riders are female.

The Ron House boards are sweet, indeed.  Laird has been pushing the limits of the sport with these shapes, and some of Maui’s best local riders can be seen ripping them.  The amazing thing is how well they are riding on a single House board, in small south shore ripples and massive NS giraffes.  I am sure the new shapes will be impressive.  Keep us updated.

that looks like an awesome line up mr. pope!

chan is spot on... makes me wonder how much time us old school types have before the groms start dominating the scene. 'cause all they need is a mini mal in order to take to the paddle. kids boards will make a great cross over for us old "beir gutters" wanting to rip on something shorter and you know that the ladies have got to have it their way too. be sure to let me know how i can help you spread the word (and all the products.)
whoever invented the hole... knew nothing.

Congratulations!  Make sure you make my magic 10' long 29"wide thruster.  The board is magic in 6 inch slop to 10' freight trains.
