I ride a Focus Torpedo 9'6 and it has become my go-to board for everything from 3ft and bigger waves. I absolutely love the board and would tell you to demo one if you get the chance !!

Board flies when set up as a quad and has taken some abuse and held up really well.

a buddy had one that said the shape was good and it flew down the line however the construction on the standard models was cheap and dinged easily, but who knows. their carbon models look fantastic

My first "modern" (the twelve foot Dolsey in 2006 was definitely not modern) sup was a 9' focus smoothie. Heavy but fun and very stable at 32" wide. Five fin boxes to experiment with and it would really noseride. It had the Aussie pine construction which survived high tide rocks. Just sold it recently to help pay for my Marlin. Their new boards in carbon are nice as are the elusive Rawsons!
