That's a photoshop fake. It's been around for years and used to have the worth1000 logo on it. Which is a website for photoshop art and digital alterations. Good fake though.

A not so good fake. Antartic glacier surfing...... ;D

That pic certainly could have been real. Every once in awhile when I'm out there the music from Jaws plays in my head....kinda creepy.

hard to believe... but a shark attack is actually on record for lake michigan at a river mouth near chicago. it is believed to have been a bull shark and the incident occurred in 1955.

excel file of reported incidents to date.

Thats a long way inland. There are a few incidents like that. Bulls are known to enter rivers and travel far upstream. I read of one I believe 150 miles inland where a kid was killed.

That's a hell of a spreadsheet...worldwide reported shark attacks?

This is a couple of pictures of a white pointer that was caught up in a fishing boats anchor rope in my home town of Port Pirie, its 5.5 meters long and is the largest caught in South Australia. They have made a model of it and placed it in our tourism and art's centre. Since then another one around the same size has been pulled in.

And this town is situated up near the top of a very large gulf :o

I saw the same free diver on one of the discovery channel shows. Crazy! Didn't some guy that free dives with sharks get killed last year?

I saw a really big great white in Monterey Bay during a dive once--he was being harassed by a Sea Lion. I didn't think I was scared, but I used up all my air about as fast as I would have if I cut the HP line. Had to swim on the surface back to shore--not good. Amazing how deep they are--most pictures I see don't do that justice--they look like they have a jet engine in their belly.
