I enjoy skinny skiing, going to bullfights on acid. Just kidding. Hey, even though we have actually had a winter this year ,I still find a place to paddle almost daily. Until the past week its been mosty open ocean SUPER COLD DOWN WIND RUNS.I'm not complaining, just sayin. In between that its surfing, wind surfing, finally some good   snowshoeing this winter, mtn biking, moto x and training for Tri's. when its stupid cold out I turn burls into bowls on my lathe. later.fms

Since I alternate between Maui and Hood River I'm pretty much in the water all the time. I windsurf my SUP (and rarely, a real windsurf board) fish, ride bicycles and race vintage cars. I'm also into motorcycles though I haven't been doing much with them recently.

Foote 10'4X34", SIC 17.5 V1 hollow and an EPS one in Hood River. Foote 9'0" x 31", L41 8'8", 18' Speedboard, etc. etc.

Besides surf SUPs, I traditionally surf, mostly longboards. I snowboard as much as I can, the wife and I have season passes to Mammoth. The problem there is that out best surf and the best Baja surf trip time is the winter. I also have other hobbies such as fishing, biking, sailing, and windsurfing on the rare day we get wind in San Diego.

I ride unicycles. Both on and off road, rain or shine. Hill climbing is my favorite.

good for you, PDX! I used to LOVE my job. But now that I'm retired, I windsurf, paddle the outrigger, am learning to row a really tippy racing shell, windsurf, hike (with GPS and all the accoutrements, thank you very much), garden, sail a dinghy, and o yeah, did I mention windsurf?

Last year I splitboarded for 4 days straight.  4k' elevation climb on each day.  Definitely the hardest thing I've ever done but also the best rides I've ever had.  Other than that I eat at home and save up to go to Baldface Lodge where I can just drop all day long.

That all sounds good but

I'm a collegiate Mens Soccer Coach AND

In the Spring I coach High School Girls Soccer (defending district and stae champs)

Keeps me HOPPING when I'm not paddling!
not to mention windsurfing and all sorts of regular prone surfing

Hi all, I am new to the forum, tho do know a few of you guys.

Mad Max - interested in bush craft, there is a famous Aussie Major Les Hiddens who did a series called Bush Tucker Man for our ABC network Down Under. He learnt bush craft with the assistance of local Aborigines whilst in the army. So as to train soldiers for survival in our vast and often in hospitable lands. He is a real character and I always enjoyed the show, very informative...

I am just getting into SUP and about to buy that 1st board [once I can get off the farm!]. Other interests are: Classic and custom m/bikes, of which I have a Flat Track build on the go. Shooting classic and historic rifles. Fishing. Working with animals - wildlife breeding and relocation is a passion. Africa will always leave me in awe! Travel at every opportunity [US & Africa are favorites]... Serviced the mountain bike a few weeks ago, given it a whirl again. it hurt - Need to keep at it.

Cam...

Robon: do you train any particular martial art or just beat the crap out of the bags?

Madmax: What is Bushcraft?

Just hit the bags for the most part. Circuit train the speed bag, double ended ball, and heavy bag for the most part. I have some friends that trained kick boxing fairly serious when I was in college, so we work the bags and do some low level sparring on occasion. Huge fan of mma too. I wish I was in a bigger town so I could do some mma fitness training at a proper gym.
