Travel, Trips, Destinations / camp pendleton

Just booked a stay at camp pendleton at San Onofre the first week in august. I have never been to San O before. I have been all over san diego but never san o. We are camping in our motorhome for a week there. I have no way of bring any of my boards, I cant fit them in the RV. so I have to rent boards when I am down there. is there any thing that i need to look out for when I am there. I am only going to surf from church's down.

just picked up a new jimmy styks seeker. I have never owned a Isup before. I traded a guy some motorcycle parts for the board. it looks kind of cheap. I will take it out tomorrow and see how it works.

Random / Hamboard

So I have been looking at buying a hamboard for a few months now, but I can not justify $500 for a skateboard. So I think I might try and make one. I know what trucks hamboards uses, I just need to figure out what to make the deck out of. I was thinking 3/4 inch oak ply wood or pine. It has to be that thick I think to be 5 feet long. Does anyone here have a hamboard?

Random / the watermans depot

So I did not know where to post this. So has any one bought any thing for the watermansdepot.com ? I put a order in on June 21, I got a email saying what i bought and a order number. So i check back a few days later just to see if my order has been shipped, and nothing. So i send them a email asking about it and I get nothing in return form them. I send one more email and nothing back. So I call them no answer so I leave a message, that was monday. They have taken the money out of my account but I have not got what I ordered. So does an one here know this company? I am not happy with them!


Sorry for the rant.
