Regional / SUP and Sail in Mexico
« on: October 31, 2013, 10:23:06 AM »
We are starting a little club for people to enjoy sailing and SUP in Mexico. The boat is going to be in areas like Mazatlan, PV and Z-Town. If anyone is interested in joining us we can discuss the details. we have spent over 12 seasons in the area and just want to share the experience with other like minded folks. Contact us at cruisincanucks@yahoo.ca
and let's talk about this adventure.... 8)

We lay down 2 pieces of that cheap Float noodle 1 forward 1 back and if 2 boards we stack with 1 piece in between secured with a thru bungy and use 2 racket straps to our factory installed racks. Boards don't budge and the vehicle doesn\t scratch. seems to work at all speeds.no wobble or lift.

SUP General / Re: I Phone or Spot Considered legal signal device
« on: May 08, 2013, 01:59:41 PM »
Thanks for the feedback..on many lakes remote and otherwise a VHF will just be a waste. I have spot used it liked it while cruising on our Sailboat. My understanding is that the law requires a signalling device hence the question... I want to have the least amount of gear to be considered legal in such places as Victoria Harbour where the Coasties /RCMP and border patrol all have a different idea....Our iphones are in Lifecases and seem to travel well . I amy test the waters so to speak on Canada Day in Victoria and see what the reaction of the feds are to a lifejacket /iphone and or spot.

SUP General / I Phone or Spot Considered legal signal device
« on: May 04, 2013, 08:29:53 AM »
I would like to check the waters on this topic. We have a spot Personal Location device that we SUP as well as Iphones with lifecases. We wear PFD's and would feel that these other devices would constitute a proper signal device as well as in the case of an I-Phone a flashlight for night time cruises. Any comments in this regard? ???

British Columbia / Chase To Kamloops River Cruise
« on: April 21, 2013, 08:05:08 AM »
We were thinking that a beautiful cruise on the SUP's would be splashin in around Chase and drift /paddle the river as it heads towards Kamloops. Anyone else thinking of spending a day that way? Has anyone done this one before?
