SIC has def tried to make racing inroads with their FX and X14.  And the Bullet 17.4 and 14 always have been exceptional for DW.  But losing 3 well known competitive racers to other brands is not optimal from their marketing perspective.

It seems they have taken a long time sorting out the FAST since its introduction.  Have they given you any updated timeline when you can expect your 17.4?

It will be here in the spring... April/May.  Which is fine by me as there's not much need for it where I live this time of year.. And good timing. We're going to Australia for most of March..

Meh, whatever.  As far as I'm concerned - and more than a few others here) it's all about fun...  Not racing.   SIC still has what it takes to put a smile on your face.. I know what and  where my next board will be coming from.

Yep, that's what it's all about.
My "grin factor" comes from maximising planning . In all my watersports (well, I also swim). As winter comes I'll switch to planning on snow. All I do is pow.

Nice. Thanks DJ.   BTW, I saw in SupRacer that many other manufacturers will be adding an Unlimited to their range for this coming season.  I wonder if Naish will finally get back on board..

Eagle:  have you tried a tracker on your Dom?  If so, I bet you didn't like the combo.  My wife's Stiletto came with a small tracker, and right from the first time out in cross chop it proved problematic.  More so when dealing with the ever present wakeboard boat wakes..  The combo of the displacement nose and the tracker caused a lot of hammock swinging.  Solution was a much smaller area semi dolphin shape - in this case I got a VMG Mako 37.   
Anyways, it just goes to prove that there is no way that a single fin style can be matched with any style board, little own a particular paddling environment.

So now OneSup (Paul and Angie Jacksons company) and Blue Planet are joining the growing interest in Unlimited production boards, joining SIC, Starboard and NSP/DC.   Things are certainly looking up for those of us who realize the advantages of Unlimiteds.
