Jim I got the Walden thinking I would cross train on the flatwater which I have been doing 2 to 3 miles daily on the river near our home, It glides great and will catch a boat wake! its 30 3/4 wide! But once I got in the surf, all I can do is think about surfing it! 1 foot and mushy this past Monday 3 hours of pure stoke Now that I have had it for a few months, I am already thinking about droping down to a new 10' PSH , Hope this helps

I am loving that 10 10 Walden, I am 200 also and it floats me like a cork. its a very easy board to ride. great in small waves
