Downwind and Racing / downwind newcomer (kinda): plans and shoppingfever....

hi friends, i am paddling  my local lake in gerany for a year now and i just learned, that  ia am doing "downwinds". i sneak my way  around the island, and then i go back, with the wind and  the small waves coming from behind. i do that on a large 11,6  sup board. now i feel like specializing! a 12,6 racer by  imagine seems to be the ticket. later on i will try to do my thing  on a channel, that goes from west to east (rhein herne kanal) when we have a strong western wind. all is very intersting!

unbelievable! someone knows our little band! how cool is that? we are planning some highly surf-inspired new tunes.
 the paddling itself right now is way too cold for me. but in a couple of weeks i will be at the local lake to start all over again. to get prpaired i will start training dry wit a paddle on the  shore of  the rhein-herne channel again.

hi guys, i have started last year to do training on the side of  a waterhole nearby. i just take  a paddle on my bicycle there and do   a couple of hunderd  really clean strokes. that really helps a lot when  i am on the board again. i wear rubberboots while i do it, to avoid  wet feet. people who pass me by are in awe, when they  see the madman. eddie

hi guys, i just found out about this site and  want to say hello. i got into the sup-thing last year. i play surfguitar too in my little band. i hope the  season of 2011 will be a good one. eddie
