I'm a big fan of chunky stainless steel dive watches myself.  I feel Being 6'3", 230lbs - you need a watch that is proportionate to your size.  I have had a Seiko for the past few years and it has held up like a champ.  I never take it off - swimming, SUP, diving, shower, sleep, whatever - I love it.

I Enjoy the surf the most of course....but living in NY, about an hour and a half from the beach, I end up getting most of my water time in Lake Mahopac, right across the street.

Stand Up Only for about the last year or so....like others though, when I do switch off to let someone try it, I have noticed that I am a much better surfer than I used to be.  This is due to the process of trying to make a big SUP board surf like a smaller longboard (9') for so long.  Now when you finally get on that longboard it is easy to make it do what you want with very little effort.

Really upsetting to hear.....were they the only boards stolen or are the 3 PSH's among some of the things stolen?  Will do my part to keep an eye out in NY / Long Beach area.  Sorry to hear, keep us updated...

Hey Blane - can you give any insight on the 10WAA yet?  Performance wise, rider size recommendations etc... I'm 6'3" - 230lbs, should I get the 10'6"WAA now or wait a little bit for the 10??

Gear Talk / PSH 10'6" WAA vs 10'6" AA ?

Hi everyone, I wanted to get some feedback from those who have ridden one or both of these boards if possible......Wanted to get a feel for what the performance differences would be in both flat and surf.  Was also interested in noserideability of both boards if someone has experience with that.  I am 230lbs / 6'3" and typically surf waves in the knee to chest / head high range.  Any thoughts would be great.  Thanks very much.

I don't know, I feel that replacing some of the foam with a chunk of epoxy (thats really what will be happening), shouldn't affect the integrity of the board.  Obviously, if there is a stringer that you are interfering with, that would be a major issue.  Bob said to always go 2" off the center to avoid any stringer that may be there.  I just get nervous that the stick ons won't last long - could just be me being paranoid though.  Thanks for the feedback, I will update soon (hopefully w/ good news).

Just ordered the Walden "flange" handle box from Bob at Mission Surf.  He spent a while explaining how I should go about the install when I get it.  Can't wait to install it!!  Price was quite reasonable at appx $20 w/ shipping.
I will post pics etc when I do it.  Anyone out there looking to retro fit a board w/ a handle - give Bob at Mission Surf a call, he was super helpful, very knowledgeable and a real nice guy!!  Mission Surf - 858.483.8837

Had a great few days of surf on Montauk - Ditch Plains was awesome.  Waves were head high and fun.  Seems like a really nice group of Stand up Paddlers out there, who have done a great job at establishing a well respected community.  Thanks for a great job guys.  Here is a link to one of the videos my wife took at Ditch Plains.  I will post some more pics when I can.
