Pretty amazing stuff on the skim board.

The skim guys are incredible.  They are taking big waves on the head in 6 inches of water.  How they regularly survive that is a mystery.

The video doesn't really portray just how gnarly that shore break is.

With the steep beach and thick doubled up slamming waves right on the sand, it really is a death zone for the unwary.

You can feel the beach shake and vibrate on big sets. I almost bought property father up the point a few years back, but almost drowned the first day I tried to cool off in the water.

Lucky for me that really changed my mind and saved me a lot of money.

As for the SUP guy in the original vid, what is to get worked up about?  This happens all the time at tiny beginner waves from beginners on anything.  So what?  You explain it to them nicely once.  He is just getting started.  Be nice to the guy, set him in the right direction (literally) and he will be no problem.

Hey that guy is wearing a "Captain Hook" around his wrist.

Probably one of the most dangerous windsurfing inventions ever invented.

Are people using them to foil?

I watched it again, and does the guy in the red shirt have the initials DM?

Kinda weird to have a fight at the Hook and not have Shannon in it.

Gotta love the Hook. So funny that one of the most aggressive surf spots in town is within spitting distance of one of the most mellow.

Near the end of the clip, it looks like Joe didn't want to step in and ruin his retirement status.

This is my fat tire e-bike. It's a Rad Power Bike. This is the Mini. $1499, free delivery and no tax.

750 watts, 5 levels of pedal assist, has a throttle, folds up and fits in my car, gets 50 miles plus on a single charge and goes like a bat out of hell.

So I’m clear here. Was he sentenced for the act of SUP or for the assault?

If it was assault, will he be sentenced separately for the SUP?

It could be a concurrent sentence if he's lucky.

My friend Kirby is selling this. He finds it a tad small for his 230 pounds.

9'6" x 32" x 4.6" @ 160 liters only 6 months old. Has rail tape and hex traction on the nose.

He paid $1500 and will sell for $1,000. Pick up in Santa Cruz only.

Message me here or call him direct at, Kirby 831 334-6071.

I had already checked out the Blue Planet "Multi-Tasker. You are right in saying I'm not fond of it's width of 34". Many people consider 32" wide, a barge. But for me, 34" wide, that is what I call "an aircraft carrier" width wise. But there is another slight drawback for the Multi-Tasker. It is only 170 liters and my friend "B" wants something closer to 185-190 liters. And with a 4" thickness, he might have problems with the board being "tippy" for him for flat water paddling.

I rented the Blue Planet Multi Tasker in Waikiki and what you have to consider is that not every companies volumn measurements are the same. Just because Blue Planet says it's 170 liters, doesn't mean it would be equal in float to a Wardog 170 liter board.

They list this at only 170 liters, but in my experience it is as floaty as any of the 190 liter boards I've ever ridden. There is no way anybody would find this board tippy with a flat deck and 34" inches wide.

Also for such a big board, it surfed small waves surprisingly well.

@ sflinux

I've heard through the grapevine that a Master-Lock Combination Adjustable lock box is easy to "hack". The video below shows how.

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=PFMLD6SonZg

I used this one for 10 years and no problems at all. I put a spare door key in it and lock it to the front grill of my Honda Element while out surfing.

Seems like if somebody really want to break in, it would be easier for them to bust a window out than try to pick my lock.
