Classifieds / WTB: Kalama E3 Wing Board - 131 ltr or 141 ltr
« on: February 13, 2024, 03:36:22 PM »
I'm looking for a Kalama E3 Wing Board - 131 ltr or 141 ltr for learning to ride.  I tried out a 120lt KT wing drifter as my first board last year and in our lake it was just not stable enough.  I sold it and was recommended the Kalama, hoping someone on here might be looking to sell a larger one.

Is a 105L board to difficult to start with?  I got KT Drifter 105 , I'm 180lbs and 6'2.  I went out for my first sessions and was falling on the board a lot.  I switched to a 140L and continued to fall quite a lot on that as well.

This was on a lake in somewhat ideal beginner wind (25+ knots) and quite wavy.  I'm just wondering if I should aim for a larger board to start or keep going on this.

One thing I did get a the end of my 2nd session was that I need to really get some speed going before trying to get up by heading downwind it seems a bit before trying to stand.

I just found even on the 140 I was falling and people said it was super stable... maybe I'm not super stable anymore haha

Hi,

After doing some additional reading it sounds like the Kalama E3 Sup/Wing will work for Armstrong HA and HS foils but it made me wonder about Axis wings.  I have the 1010 and 1150 PNG and was wondering if these will work on this board. I will primarily be using it for winging.   Eventually I'm sure I would like to switch to their HPS line as well.

It would be great to know if these will work before buying the board.  Looking to get this as my first wing board, I've been wake foiling for 3 years.

Thanks!

Awesome story.

I'm planning to get the Kalama 5'6 or 5'10 as a starter board and learning then mainly riding at our lake in 11-16knots!  I'm 6'2 and 185lbs not sure which would be better to then keep long term for the lighter winds or eventually SUP.

Hi,

I'm looking for an Axis 1150 PNG front wing and 460.  Main emphasis is on finding the 1150 as I have a 440 rear currently.

If you can send a message thank you,

Aaron
