Anyone looking to jump the line on a 83cm Cedrus mast? I'll take a small hit on the price, but it is a brand new un-used mast. I'm running the 75cm now and ordered the longer version. Its by far the best mast on the market, I know because I've bought and sold (or broke) all the others, including GoFoil, Takuma, Axis, NoLimitz. I can include a Takuma adapter and/or an axis adapter. Other adapters are $100.

There’s a first time for everything. I’m pumping back out in perfect glassy water - going Mach looney nice and high on the mast. Everything is lined up to grab the set wave way outside. What’s that huge dark blotch in the water? Oh, it’s a bait ball of sardines freaked out by ME! How cool is that watching about a billion tiny fish trying to swim for their lives. I caught them and BAM - no feeling of hitting anything, just immediate and total loss of lift. That was a fun experience.

I had a tiny window of time this afternoon to get on the water and the conditions were perfect at my local. I was rigged and on the water within 5 minutes of parking - I love that about winging, I've got my gear dialed and I just need to put it together and pump up the wing.
Off I go, the wind is perfect. One reach out and I blow the first gybe heading back. Board ends up foil up, wing in the water and down comes the foil right onto the canopy. Damn it, ripped a nice big slash in the canopy. So I swum in and taped it up well enough to get back out.
I'm back in the water 20 minutes later and wouldn't you know it, the exact same thing happened again within minutes of launching. This time it was way worse, the foil came down into the middle of the canopy and got itself so tangled up I have several slashes. GOD-DAMMIT. At least nothing hit the bladder.
Winging for more than a year and this happens twice within minutes? This sport sucks sometimes.

Learning to supFoil or wing? This board would be perfect.
This board is from 4 years ago when dwight and Kalama were the only ones who knew how to make foilboards. It still stands up to the best boards today in my opinion. I put hundreds of sessions on it in waves. Then I reshaped the nose to shorten it up 6" and put a bunch more sessions on it. If it had mast tracks, I would probably keep it but I got rid of my gofoil gear and don't have a foil to put on it.
It does have NSI adhesive footstrap plugs for a front strap if you're goofy. you could always pull them off and put deck pad patches back over them if you're not.
If you're willing to come get it in the SF Bay Area - you can have it. I absolutely will not ship it, and will put up with absolutely no drama.

Super Light board - carbon PVC sandwich with tuttle and tracks. Comes with Footstraps setup for winging https://www.oneoceansports.com/foil-board-downwind-proneThis board is seriously bulletproof and I have surfed the heck out of it, but there are absolutely no soft spots and it is still super light and stiff - 14 pounds! I fell down the stairs in Santa Cruz with it and made a couple of holes, so there are two very nice repairs with epoxy/carbon. Smooth and fair, but I didn't paint over them because they look cool anyway. The shape is incredible for fast planing and easy touchdowns - great for supFoil or winging. SF Bay area sale if possible. I prefer not to ship, but if we can work something out, I'm game. $800

I've decided to go all in on axis from here forward. The 1095 is a really nice foil setup and I put a lot into getting everything really nicely dialed. For the right person, this is an incredible deal. This Takuma fuselage was set with excessive angle on the foil that only worked on boards with a LOT of tail rocker. All the modern boards are much flatter in the box area and needed 2+deg of baseplate shims to work right. The modifications fix all this without baseplate shims. I upgraded the center screw on the fuse, mast, and Cedrus adapter to m8 because the m6 bolts just aren't burly enough in my opinion. Will ship anywhere for actual shipping cost. $1200 for everything, $1000 without the KD Maui tailKujira 1095 - in very good condition, used about a dozen times, no scratches Takuma aluminum Fuselage, modified center mast screw to m8 for rigidity/strength Takuma 75cm aluminum mast - modified with 2.5deg of fuse angle to match the carbon mast and new fuselage angle, center screw tapped to M8 Cedrus mast adapter - modified with 2.5deg of fuse angle and m8 center screw Takuma tail 220 - brand new, never used KDMaui 13.5" tail 30mm hole spacing I will only sell the KDMaui tail with this kit, I'll keep it if the buyer doesn't want it. Its a perfect match for the 1095, so I want to keep it paired.

Its time... I've been on the KeNalu system forever now, but I can't get replacement heads. So either looking to buy a paddle head that fits or a whole paddle. I've been on the Mana 90 since it was pretty new and I honestly haven't tried to many other paddles. I have been eyeing the quickblade UV, which kind of looks similar maybe
Anyone have something they're willing to sell?

I may end up travelling there semi-frequently over the next few years for some manufacturing happening in town there. If there is anyone here who knows the coastline and wave spots there - I would love to pick your brain. Happy to do it privately if you want to send me a PM, or we can discuss here.

I used to windsurf at a pretty high level and trained to get good in both directions. I was always weaker on one side, but I forced myself to ride a skateboard "the wrong way" whenever possible and planned vacations to go to waves where I had to ride port tack instead of my stronger starboard tack. I wanted to be able to ride waves and jump with either foot forward.
So, when I made the plunge to learn winging, I decided that I would switch my feet for port tack and learn to wingfoil with the wrong foot forward. Its frustrating, and honestly not going all that well. I feel like I'm getting close wrong foot foward but it will also be a bit of a long path to get comfortable. Should I stick with it, or cut bait and ride for a while twisted up?

second session on the kujira 980 with my SUP. The first session was a total train-wreck due to all the angles being wrong, but this morning went much better. Gosh, all the talk about shimming is really true - the angles out of the box are totally completely out of whack. It took a huge amount of shimming to get it looking even close to normal on the beach - the stock angle of the fuse/wing was set up to ride so far nose down that I was actually digging the nose in the water just trying to ride level on the first few flights. I think the carbon fuse had the opposite problem and they over corrected on the aluminum version. I ended up shimming the interface between the mast and fuse this morning and everything went much better on the water.
In generally it rides like a tiny GoFoil NL. I don't have the NL130, but I have to imagine they are similar.
I'm 95kg without a wetsuit, riding it with a 13.5" Kane tail at 3deg (no shims). Lift comes on smooth and consistent, the ride is fairly stable, but I could crank turns like I expected, fast too. It is definitely pumpable and I got a two-fer, but not at all easy. Riding waves the size was fine, but I like to pump so I'd probably be happier on the next size up at my weight.

Cowells has been going off for the last week. Such incredible foiling, I've had a few of my all-time best sessions there just in the last week. At the right tide and swell, it could well be California's best foiling wave. The only problem is paddling back out 1km+ and going around the corner to indicators with all the water rushing around the corner against you. The kelp is almost all cleared out now all the way along west cliff.
The "magic hour" as I've started calling it is the hour just before the place becomes completely swamped with people. Low tide cowells is pretty special for longboarding - with a small swell it needs a negative tide, but with bigger swell anything less than a foot is perfect. This past week low tide has been mid-day, with the associated sunshine and the conditions glassing off by mid-morning. About 2 hours before low tide it isn't quite good enough for the longboarders but perfect for foiling. It is just barely breaking and backing off, rolling all the way into the beach. By about an hour before low tide, you can't even make your way up the stairs because its a steady stream of wavestorms walking down, and by low tide there will be literally hundreds of people in the water. Not a good place for a foil at all.
Every day I've been out there a handful of other foilers are out frothing away and riding so many waves the only limit is the paddle back out, and the need to get back to my car for a zoom call.
On the really big swell days, my white whale is getting one all the way out at middle peak steamers. I am absolutely positive I could ride it to the beach for an almost 1.5km ride. I know because I catch the set waves after the surfers drop off them at the statue and ride those to the beach. I paddled out to middle peak several times now, but I can't get the speed or positioning to drop in. I've been in the wrong place a few times and got completely and utterly blown up. I come up for air a couple of hundred meters down the coast with the water moving like crazy. But, I'm going to get one of those soon...
