guys, how do you find the low end/pumpability of the new Unit? Been reading/hearing from a few places that they lack the low end, for example compared to Strike v2?

I noticed that the Armstrong FG boards are about 15l or so less than similar sized boards of other brands. I'm currently on a Fanatic 5'4" 95l and it's super easy to ride, but the mast box is way too far back for the Armstrong foils. And it's heavy. The Arm FG is the same width, slightly shorter, and 75l. I'm wondering if, at 85kg, I should go with the 75l? I don't really want to go with the 88l because it's an inch longer and wider than my Fanatic. Conditions are typically steady 15kt+ and if it hits 19+ I'll go to my 45l Takuma.
Sorry a bit of OT, however, how do you like the 45L Takuma? What's the waterstart like with it and most importantly how much bigger wings do you need to use compared to your bigger boards in say 20-25 knots? I really would like to have a smaller, more agile board, but wonder if the downside is too much :/ Currently my only board is 75L Fone Rocket, but it's 5'4 and with my kitefoil backgroung I can feel the  inertia the longer and bigger board brings.

Many thanks!

ok, thanks for the feedback.

When do you expect the Stringy fuselage to be ready, please? And any idea of the price?

Dave,

great idea abt adaptor for Moses mast and Gong stuff. However, would it be even better to make a fuselage which takes the front wing of Gong and otherwise it's Moses compatible ie. mast and stab. This way the very heavy gong fuse would be gone, and you could use moses stabs where you have the option to shim them?

Thoughts?

I just ordered 1100 and 82cm + 483 Moses setup. I already ride 93cm mast with 633 + 483 with kite, and really dig the combo. Very agile setup and thought about using it when very windy with the wing, but I have my doubts due to the very low pumpability of the 633, it just doesn't pump that well. So I'm really relying on wave power, but when really windy, this shouldn't be a problem. What I want is to turn off the wing power and rely on water power.
What I am missing currently with kite, is utilizing the power from weaker swell, which I hope I will tackle with the w1100. I know it will have its limitations, but let's see. Armstrong would be nice, but it's just way too expensive here in Europe. I'm also quite sure Moses will bring mid sizes HA wing, less HA than their W800 and W1000, since they are clearly missing this segment.

Guys, please help me out with this one before placing my order;

For winging I am looking at 1010 and either 460 or 400, with short fuselage and 90cm 19mm alu mast. I weigh 80kg (175lbs) with 85 liter board. Mainly looking to ride form 12 knots onwards and small swell, so speed, glide, but also turning are on my list. So:
1) should I go for the 19mm alu mast or is much more draggy, so I would really notice it without riding other masts, so just outright, is it draggy with this 1010 wing?
2) the stab, should I go for the 460 or 400? I read from here that 460 is speedy ie. less drag. How would the 400 differ from 460?

Thanks very much!!! Good winds and waves, and stay safe

How heavy are you OMG?

Thanks, I'm 80kg / 175lbs. 4'10 85liter board. This setup would be for winging, and I like to ride from 12 knots onwards. I like speed, glide, pumping and turning qualities - of course :) We have some swell, which is smallish, and hence would like to be able to link them via pumping and gliding from the foil.

Received my Duotone Unit 6m today so I can answer my own question.
The 6m is about 42" long in it's storage bag.  It is not a back pack but the bag does have  a handy side handle making it easy to carry.

More to come later

Nice! Very much looking for your feedback. Good winds!
