I did but your reel leash belt will slide in the 2 or 3 loops that are already on the RDX belt. When it arrives it’ll be obvious when u look at it. Mike

It looks really professional and is about 1/3 size of my daKine. Yes it’s really comfy, the hook and strap/belt are plenty strong enough for powered conditions.

VB Foil yes that’s the one I have, just slide the reel leash strap through the weight belts loops and ur done. I put a couple of zip ties where I thought it would benefit from some extra loops but works great.

Been using an old da kine kitesurfing harness and spreader but it’s overkill. So built my own.
RDX neoprene weight belt, blue planet reel leash, maniac sliding hook and some black zip ties. Works brilliantly, it’s really minimal and doesn’t get in the way at all and more than man enough for the pull of a wing. Also with the reel leash I no longer get tangled👍🏻 Mike

I have the 910 which I love and covers a huge range for me, I’m 77 kg. I have been thinking of the  PNG1010 or the Broad Spectrum1060 for the lighter end of my range and when the winds a bit inconsistent. I also don’t want to buy the black series gear as I’ve only had my Axis set up a couple of months. So what dya think?

Don’t really want to go as big as the 1150 as I had the Moses W1100 which I found too big.

Cheers

Have been on a Takuma SK foil sup 6’ 115L for last year. I’m 77kg and today rode my new board 5’6 85L Takuma TK.

Wow what a difference, everything seems easier. Was worried I’d struggle to start it, but was easy, I think I might have even got away with the 5’4 75L version.

The volume distribution and recessed scoop deck really encourage ur knees and feet into the right spot. Only took a couple of runs to get comfortable, also really easy to pump up. It’s also really light.

Really pleased and glad I’ve dropped down.

You’ll love them, the handles give a bit when used and wet. I have no problem with gloves.

The valve is just pressure fit, I lick mine first to help the pressure fit and rarely pops out.

You’ll find them very positive with a great connection to the power. They feel more like a windsurf sail to me when pumping, which you won’t need to do much.

Careful attaching a short line to the leash on the Ensis, I did that on all 3 of mine and the line wore through the leash webbing which separated, my 3.5 flew off but I got it back. They are ok fixed to the handle directly. But check them if uv added a leader line.

Ok so I’ve pulled the trigger on the 980. What stabilisers do I need to get for my choppy conditions? I’m 76kg, the 390 gap or 420/400? Max speed isn’t my priority, control and glide is.

I’m holding off on my 860/760 purchase until all this stuff drops. Be good to know the lower and upper wind range of this 980. Admin be good to get feedback on it from you when u ride it in comparison to 860.

I second everything Dwight says. I absolutely love my 6/4.5/3.5 and there isn’t a thing I would change about them. Will get the 2.5 soon too. My 6 is powerful but also very controllable and the fraught doesn’t move even when over powered. The handles work brilliantly, much better than the Naish and F one.

Thanks again guys for all the great input. Paddlur those condiitions ur in look similar to mine, one of my spots gets even more messy.

So overall I’ve been advised 920/910/860 for my bigger wing and the 760 for the smaller one and 440/460/390 stab combinations.

Just need to make my mind up and make a decision.🤣

Cheers

thanks guys.

I did contact Mackiteboarding 2x before about that adapter but they never replied.

Admin, I think we are about same weight. The 860/760 combo sounds good. You are using the 390 GAP I think.

Whats the low end for you on the 860? and if you were to get another stab to go with the 860/760 and 390 combo?
