Guys,

Looking at Maui or Oahu in july/August. Last in maui '86 and '89 windsurfing!

I need a really nice 5* hotel for the family that I can wing from or is close to a spot for wingfoiling.

Many thanks for any suggestions.

Any experiences on these yet, particularly the FS1000/850. I like the look of them but need info on comparable foils, speed etc.

Wingsurfing, Windfoiling, Wingfoiling, Wing SUP / Tap for M8 bolt
« on: March 02, 2022, 12:44:48 AM »
Guys,
I trimmed a spare alloy axis mast down and need to tap the holes for the old M8 bolts.

There are different taps and it's confusing for the non mechanically minded, what tap do I need?

Cheers

Been using a centre front strap but want to try a narrow V on the front, as that's what my inserts allow. Tried making normal V fit but it doesn't.

Anyone know if I can buy one or if others have made one/found a solution?

Cheers

Wingsurfing, Windfoiling, Wingfoiling, Wing SUP / Dropped board size today
« on: February 23, 2021, 07:43:35 AM »
Have been on a Takuma SK foil sup 6’ 115L for last year. I’m 77kg and today rode my new board 5’6 85L Takuma TK.

Wow what a difference, everything seems easier. Was worried I’d struggle to start it, but was easy, I think I might have even got away with the 5’4 75L version.

The volume distribution and recessed scoop deck really encourage ur knees and feet into the right spot. Only took a couple of runs to get comfortable, also really easy to pump up. It’s also really light.

Really pleased and glad I’ve dropped down.

Wingsurfing, Windfoiling, Wingfoiling, Wing SUP / Size down from Moses 790
« on: September 04, 2020, 01:14:58 AM »
Hi guys,

Following on from another post I did.

I’m riding my 790 mainly now and my 1100 only when there’s no wind.

So my question is when I’m fully powered 4.5/3.5 weather what front foil smaller do I need to get? 679 or something else?

Cheers

So guys,  I have a Moses 1100 and 790. Ones 2100cm and the other 1550, I have been on my 1550 a lot lately on my 4.5 and 3.5 wings as it’s been pretty windy.

Today I stuck the 2100 on with my 4.5 wing in very choppy conditions and a dropping wind, hence the big foil. I found it too much foil and really affected by the chop today, even though it was just enough wind for the 4.5. I used to enjoy the 2100, but after riding my smaller foil a lot it felt weird. Is this normal? Does this mean I’m getting better and don’t need that big a foil? I’m 74kg.

Wingsurfing, Windfoiling, Wingfoiling, Wing SUP / Gybe help
« on: August 18, 2020, 09:56:59 AM »
On about session 17, having windsurfer and kitesurfed for years, although no foiling.

I can ride very comfortably both directions in wind from 6, 4.5, 3.5 weather no problem, but last 4/5 sessions I’ve been trying to gybe. I get half 2/3 rds round and end up with a roll issue either to windward or leeward. I’ve had a few impacts with my foil as a result including a face impact on the wingtip that I thought broke my jaw, but luckily just a badly bruised face for a week. As a result my confidence is knocked. Any tips to help me turn a full 180?
