I'm looking for some input from folks who have paddled a "Creed SUP" Paddleboard.
I saw an add on the zone about this company. Looking at the site they seem to have some good things going for them. Two of their boards caught my eye. The 12'2" and the 140 liter 10' surf SUP. Any feedback about them would be appreciated.

I can't believe Craiggers.com is still down.i guess it's been 3 weeks now . I've tried to use the regular Craigslist again, but it like going back to the stone age when it come to finding something specific, nation wide. Does anyone know of any other Craigslist search engines? (i think it is call a search engine)

I have only seen videos of guys Downwinding and it looks awesome. So i wonder if DW is being done in the southeast US. I'm in Atlanta Ga and i'd love to give it a try it sometime. Just wondering where would i have to go to have a chance at riding some little Dw swells?
I am not clear on how DW is normally done. It seems that folks are putting in at one location and taken out at another, is this correct?
I don't think our lakes are big enough but i guess if it is ever windy enough it could be possible.

I've been SUPing a few months & i love it. I now realize that 95% of my paddling will be in flat water, but i want to improve my balance for the occasional surf trip. My idea is to get a challenging board for my everyday flat-water small lake workouts with the thought that it would improve my balance. Is this a good idea? The board i have in mind is the Starboard Ace 14' x25". I'm 190lbs and 6'4". ( I also hope to try some down-winding at some point, if this is possible on bigger lakes or anywhere in the southeast) I only get to surf a few time a year and i have struggled in the past with with balancing in the bigger rolling seas with the heavy winds (i ended up kneeling for most of the time) I have no problem once i catch a wave, i just need to improve my ability to stay on my feet the rest of the time. Thanks for any opinions PS, I was given a tip to walk the board as i paddle, this has been a awesome tip. I feel a lot more comfortable because of that exercise. I even find myself paddling with one foot on top of the other for the challange. I also started closing my eyes while paddling, not sure if that will help any with balance but it is interesting to see where you end up compared to where you think you should be .

My son did not strap the board that he borrowed from me down . So needles to say it now has some damage. Mostly a nice deep road rash that took off some clear coat, color, epoxy, and a small 1" crack line. It looks like it was a nose first impact, The rash is in 2 spots, each about half the size of a dollar bill. I might be able to do a half A-- job of a repair, but i am at a lost on matching the yellow color to make it look right. So since we really don't have any board shops that i know of, i am putting this call to see if anyone may know of someone in the Atlanta area (within 50-75 miles of Atl) that can do a good board repair?

I got back from my first SUP surf experience with many holes in my knees.
I know it is called Stand up paddling, but the nice little swell that hit the gulf last week was not not going to let me do much of the stand-up part.
4 days of fun surfing and learning how to SUP surf, came at the expense of having to be on my knees most of that time. The many 3 & 4 hour sessions took there toll.
I was wondering does any one have any suggestions to protect my knees during this learning transition?

I can't find much feed back about this type of deck grip. It looks like it has been around over seas. I see a Aussie site and a Japanese (I think) site and one not sure where they are. I wonder is there any body in the US that sells this? http://newax.ocnk.net/ http://www.newaxoz.com/

The banner adds that alternates up top between "Starboard" ... & "Curious?"
The banner add reads "4 people +4 boards in 1 car" does not link for me. I'm curious as to what is the product?

Do surfers keep your surfboards after you starting SUP surfing? I am getting ready to purchase my first Paddle board. So I am trying to budget some money to get a board or 2 for me and my family. Currently I have 3 nice surfboards that i am considering selling to afford a good/better SUP board. Parting with those boards is a big deal for me so this is where my question is centered. My question is, 1. Do any of you guys (older guy especially) ever go back to standard surfing after you really begin Stand up paddling/surfing? 2. If so, what surf conditions/ or
are there when do you put the SUP aside to standard surf? 3. How much less fatiguing is SUP surfing compared to lay-down surfing? I assuming it is less fatiguing, at least per waves caught. I know i can buy a better SUPboard if i sell my surfboards but... This is a great forum, thanks to those who put this together. Thanks Roland
