I picked up a lightly used Naish 17 Glide and I want to add a fin box. Before I get out the router has anyone ever chopped in to one of these? I'm thinking of placement similar to the JL Maliko 14. Is there a stringer or any extended reinforcement around the rudder hole? Note - I don't plan on using the steering setup at all - just a single fin.

Mistral's top of the line iSUP for only $950. These were sold out across Europe and only a few made it to the US. Constructed of a lightweight German material, this board is very light (21 lbs), rigid, and packs down very small. Dimensions are 14' x 28" x 6". This board has been lightly used and is in excellent shape. It has been modified with a stomp pad on the tail and comes with a travel bag, an electric pump, and a SIC carbon fiber fin and the stock fin. Retail on this package would be over $2000. You can read more about this amazing board here: http://www.mistral.com/sup/sup-boards/equipe-14

Any Zoners going? Gonna be interesting to see how the inflatables do against the hard boards. With a $50k purse there's gonna be a lot of talent.

Come to Dana Point tomorrow and paddle with Mickey & his friends. There's a Wounded Warrior paddle, lots of great clinics, board demos, a BBQ lunch and some fun races in the afternoon. If you don't want to deal with parking there's shuttles and a water taxi from Dana Wharf. http://festivalofwhales.com/events/mongoose-cup-stand-up-paddle/

California's only ultra-distance paddle: 100 miles on the Sacramento River from Redding to Chico The race starts under the Sundial Bridge in Redding, CA and finishes near Chico, CA. There are three checkpoints along the way where you can pick up food & drink making this event very easy to do self-supported. This moving-water round-the-clock event is open to all paddle sport enthusiasts: Sea Kayak, Marathon Canoes, Surfski, Stand Up Paddle Boards and Outriggers are all appropriate and welcome. The race hosts Adventure, Team, Relay and Competitor categories. There were six SUPs in the 2013 event and for 2014 there will be SUP board class divisions and a SUP Relay class. Date: 5/25/13 (check-in 5/24, awards 5/26) Website: http://www.riversforchange.org/california-100/

If anyone knows of an escort boat available for the Catalina Challenge please send me a pm. We had an awesome set up last year (although the 2012 race was cancelled due to weather) but our boat & Captain will not be available for this year's race.

I need a 12' paddleboard delivered from Seattle to Southern California and I'm hoping some area paddlers are making the trip to the Round the Rock on Sept 10th and will have room for an extra board. Board can be dropped off at the race site and I'm in Dana Point but I can pick up anywhere between LA and SD. I'll gladly chip in some $$ to help with your trip expenses. Please reply by pm. Thanks!
