I could think of worse places to move to. Just surprised they let them in.

Nobody reads magazines anymore. They look at their phones or their computers. I do get free subscriptions to a few trade related e-mags. I'll flip through them on my computer. Not a single magazine in my office either.
I know quite a few people at least a couple decades younger than me who are actually tired of looking at their screens all the time. I don't know what their take on print magazines are but they do prefer actual printed paperback books over phones and tablets. I don't think their way of thinking is as uncommon as a lot of people assume.

I suspect the Instagram post was a big "fuck you" to David Pecker, an aptly named dickhead, because they knew what was coming. And it probably prompted pulling the plug immediately.
Yeah that's what I was thinking. The writing was on the wall so they figured they might as well go out with a bank. Good on them.

I've looked at a few (handplanes) and yeah it seems it would be quite a hassle to switch hands out in the water. I guess you would have to decide to only go right or left for each individual session.

On another note, researching mats from 4th gear flyers.

Never used a handplane but would like to give it a go. So do you have to switch hands based on what direction you're going?

Nie rice, just needs a motor.
I still picture myself doing this and attempt it when the opportunity presents itself:)  (Escape Country Motorcycle Park / BMX track 1973, now Rancho Santa Margarita, Ca.)

I remember that place.  I raced a couple times on a Sears knockoff of a Stingray converted to a BMXer. I also recall a hang gliding competition that aired on Wild World Of Sports.

Heaps of inexpensive inflatable SUP’s on eBay that look very similar to these 700-800$ boards for $250 shipped. Most likely all are made in the same factory, with different graphics applied. Just be sure whichever seller you choose has stock in country already
not looking to anything off eBay, just looking for feedback or from experience sup riders on the 2 brands above, and what they use to make them.

The thing is, most experienced paddlers on here have not used those two and for that reason wont have a lot of feedback to give. You say your options are limited. Do you mean as far as price? If so that's understandable but keep in mind as the saying goes, you get what you pay for.  I looked at both those links and their Facebook page in the "about" section.  Thurso Surf doesn't have any info to where they are located.  Gile makes the bold claim they make "the best paddleboards you can buy".  And their mailing address is in the watersports mecca of Las Vegas but no info as to where the company is actually located.  That should be an obvious red flag on both of those.

To be clear, there are some good quality small companies out there. The good ones are going to at the very least be owned and operated by an avid SUPer or SUPers.  Also they will be headquartered in an area where people SUP.

Never heard of that brand either.  Here's one I hear nothing but good things about:

I rent so no room for a hard board, as for red co,  there boards dont have what i am looking for on them.....

Ok let's see if the third time is a charm. I am very aware that you are not interested in a hard board. That is why I gave you those suggestions. The brands that I mentioned (and many more) all have inflatables in their lineups, and very good ones at that.  Yes they are hard boards brands but AGAIN they all have a lineup of inflatables which is what you said you are looking for. I'm not sure if they have all the features you mentioned but that is why it would be a good idea to research them. And you can do what surfcowboy suggested.
