Oh, say more about the benefits of aluminum masts over carbon. You've got me curious now.

Anyone have one laying around that they want to part with? Just need the mast, ideally the 75 or 82 and the base plate, maybe the doodad.

I'm curious, but rocker is going to make all the difference on these. My 8'2 widepoint always felt like it had too much nose rocker. The mock up on the site makes it look like it might have chines, which would make it a very different beast than the old wide points were.

If you told me two years ago that foiling would progress to the point that guys are filming how to videos on selfie sticks while pumping I would have never believed you. Of course, I'm still struggling to pump after three years, but that tip he gave about moving your front foot back seems to be helping.

They aren't solid carbon and you don't have to go far before you hit foam.

The stuff is 100% lanolin with no additives, because crunchy mamas care. Its thicker than vaseline. It's probably also the most expensive way to buy lanolin if you are paying out of pocket.

Is it Fluid Film your speaking about?

I'm talking about Lansinoh Nipple Cream. It expensive to buy retail, but tons of women who are done breast feeding sell their unused tubes on facebook marketplace or craigslist.

I just use my wife's leftover Lansinoh Nipple Cream. Know anyone who has discontinued breastfeeding recently? They might have some laying around. Comes in a nice convenient squeeze tube.

The carbon 1210 that I got at the beginning of the year from Big Winds came with a base plate shim. I didn't end up using it, but its nice to have since tail rocker on board can vary.

These are great photos OkiWild. This is the point that all of my big wave DaKine leashes have failed at, usually at around 12-18 months. The Leashlok design is far superior in this regard. My first Leashlok is still going after almost 5 years, but given the nature of urethane it has to go eventually.

Yeah, that sander came out after I put the wing tip of my Takuma 1210 through my foot. Just barely avoided stitches.

If you are getting to that point where you levitate then you probably just need to move a little more forward to keep you nose down. Alternatively, move the mast back a little or shim your tail if that's an option.

I ended up getting the 1210 with full carbon and I've been having a lot of fun with it. Its seems like setting up the kujira is mostly voodoo though. Weirdly enough, I am liking it best without any base plate shim or tail shim. The 1210 has plenty of lift for me at 220 lbs in all but the weakest waves. On the other hand I talked with another guy I had at least 20 lbs on who had the aluminum 1210 and he said he was struggling to get enough lift.

The kujira is stupid sharp. I've been out of action for a few days after cutting my foot on the wind tip. If it had hit a little straighter on I would have needed stitches.

I just couldn't resist.

Go Foil had a prototype that was barking up a pretty similar tree about 4 months age: https://www.instagram.com/p/CGvilepjmv9/
