Wingsurfing, Windfoiling, Wingfoiling, Wing SUP / Axis Mast & ventilation
« on: January 24, 2022, 06:40:01 AM »
Hi all,
I was checking this review on youtube (english subtitles):

I honestly find it quite strange to hear about such a problem of an axis product.
Does anyone experience the same?
Thanks
Andrea

Sizes will be increased by 0.5 (like Duotone for example).
Refined wingtips shape
Same handles
Same material but even lighter
Better overall handling
New colors

Wingsurfing, Windfoiling, Wingfoiling, Wing SUP / Strike V2 anyone?

F one is working hard on the upcoking Stike V2 but so far no details about it. Can someone share some info about it?
They seem better than Apple at keeping their projects with no leaks. 😃

So what’s the best tail wing for the 999?
Maybe the 400 HA?

In order to jump higher you have to:

- go fast
- just before taking off go slightly in the wind (more upwind)
- get the tension between the legs on the board and the wing that is pulling you
- using a wave it's easier and personally i go higher than in flat water ( flat water jumps require more technique)

my question is:
just before jumping what's the best position of your front arm?
i usually bend it a little and keep it bent towards me during the jump but actually i tried once just leaving it completely extended and it seems to catch more wind.

Do you have any tips?

Thanks!

after few more tries i can confirm:
- you definitely want to be at the top of the wave, it is there that you have the most energy
- the foil likes to be close to the water surface, it seems more efficient there when you pump
- the swinging movement of the arms is super important

Thanks everybody once again for all your advices, they help me a lot in my progression. I still have to much work in front of me but the goal is getting better and better.
i share here my latest session towed in by the efoil

I’ve heard the new wings will come out with a new bag design in September

So i tried behind the boat in flat water with 1125ha, 85 mast and 60 fuse.
I still don’t get how to push more the front let..
i have some questions for you:
- do you think taking off the rear strap would help?
- do you think using the 1250 Hs instead of the 1125 Ha will make
It easier?
- how can i push more with the front leg?

i find it easier once you get the right rithm with the arms but it took me almost 30 min to get there to that little progression  :'(
Also how can i make all that arm movement with a wing in one hand? :)

Thanks!!

Wingsurfing, Windfoiling, Wingfoiling, Wing SUP / Duotone Unit D/Lab
« on: July 20, 2021, 08:57:40 AM »
Duotone is coming out soon with the new Unit, with the super light Uluula material and hard handles (like 2 mini booms). 5m will be around 1500€
Anyone knows something more or got any chance to try it?
Thanks

Yes, i was already in mind to get a session behind the boat. I think it will help a lot.
Just watched that video, he is an alien 😃

I’m using the 85 Armstrong mast and my foil NEVER breach.
I love it and even in rough conditions i don’t find the need to have it longer.

Pono,
i actually have the opposite feeling: that i'm just pumping with the front foot, and as a result of this the nose of the board is moving up and down a lot. When i see the others pumping their board move more evenly and even the legs are not bending that much.
Thanks for the support, i'll try to put everything together next session.
and also i will try only behind the boat to focus on the rithm.
i also did not get what is exactly that generate the forward motion, what's the OAO?
thanks
