I'm wondering what everyone is finding for range of the 1000/370/short fuse setup which I have.  I'm 185 (85kg) and using it from ~14 - 25 knots so far. I'm sure I'll be able to get going on it in lighter wind with better technique and time, finding it a bit unruly/breachy into the mid 20's and higher.
Cheers, stay healthy!  Rob

Hey Phils, I've got the 5.3, you should be having no issues in that wind with that size.  Maybe your hand positions?  Most Naish riders are using 2 from front, 3 from back for general all round handle positions and sailing directions. If you're using 3 from front that really begins to open up and power up the leading edge/front hand and probably your cause of fatigue on the front arm? I'd move front and back up by 1 handle. The other potential as mentioned is tightly gripping the handle in a clenched fist, when I'm not seriously overpowered I'm lightly holding the handle by finger tips.

Hey PonoBill, did you get the Dutchman when on Maui? What's the dims and where's the pretty pictures please? Thanks! Rob

"This guy has a great 360 ..."   apparently that guy is Johnny Heineken, past world kite course race champ and wicked kite foiler,  so his foiling and foot skills come pretty easily to him when winging as you can see!

Hey Caribsurf, the new wing came in the bag folded up. Not like I usually do - roll from wing tips to center strut then fold up roughly in 3rds, and put in bag. Here's pics of v1 4m beside new S25 5.3 to give you some sense of bag size. Still pretty compact (but there are those folds in the windows!) Rob

Has anyone figured out how to get your new S25 Wingsurfer into the bag without creasing/folding the windows? Is there some origami wizard trick? Does it even matter do you think?
Be healthy, be happy! Rob

Very excited by this discussion! I just received my S25 5.3m on Tues but have not had a chance to use it, possibly this weekend by the forecast. I can't wait to try this magic wing and start making all my moves!😉

For a light / no wind self rescue, I have found that if you take the wrist leash off and put it around your ankle, the wing will happily follow you while you prone paddle your board back to shore.

Hi Admin, in another thread (Fone Swing) you said "I had almost given up on footstraps after a failed session with front and rear straps last week, but I decided to give it one more day with just the two new (stick on) angled front straps. "  I too have been looking around for angled strap solutions, I'm an old windsurfer, so prefer switch stances. Could you tell me what your using for the stick on mounts and straps, and any measurements for placement would be nice too! Thanks, Rob

Thanks supunk for the pic. I was wondering how something like that may feel/work.  How do you like putting your foot straight in along the center line like that? I've looked at my front foot and it often is like that or slightly angled.  I'm also considering a 45 angled V strap like Axis has https://axisfoils.com/products/foil-board-v-front-foot-strap

...I use a front foot strap, which I find essential. I have now made an adaptor plate to allow me to mount the foot strap transverse so that I can try riding switch with just the one strap.
Hi supunk, could you share a pic of your strap setup please?

Hello all!  Newbie to this forum posting. About 8 sessions into winging it, I'm foiling, reaching and upwind, struggling on the turns. Can usually get around the corner but stuff it going for switch stance (old windsurfing habit), no toeside riding experience.  So, very interested to see, learn how to move the feet.  Not sure if it's me or the foil or... but once foiling I can barely move out of my stance without "bad" things happening!  Cheers!  Rob
