For those who want to dry their wing post session, but are always too gassed to bother pumping up once more, get yourself a ryobi high volume inflator.  It fits right on to the hose and allows you to quickly pump up the wing to a very low psi.  If you have other ryobi tools and batteries, its only a $20 or so purchase.  Also doubles as a mini blower to help get sand out of crevasses.

Check out Alan Cadiz Patreon page. He has a full tutorial vid on riding toeside.

Update: never mind. I can now see that you zip tied the blue planet reel belt to the larger span of the weight belt.

Alright Mike Dubs, I need to replicate your setup. Have a real leash. Have a spreader bar thing. Which weight belt model and did you need to add anything to it?  Is this the belt??

I just ordered the slap on dagger board by Slingshot (SupWinder) so I can put in on my wife's twice used 12'6 touring SUP.  I'm hoping she gives it a go.  I will also be taking my young ones out on it and teaching them with my little 2M.

24
Also be careful holding on to thin gauge leash loops, spectra ect. in the surf zone.  I know a guy who lost the tip of his index finger holding onto the tail of a SUP that had two leash plugs joined together in the middle to beef up the leash.  I think the board flipped trying to get out past the shorebreak and caught is finger in a loop and pop!

My local side shore spot has a jetty that I use to shelter from the waves. Often times I canít make it back to my launch and need to come in through the shorebreak a bit down the coast. My trick in that scenario is to hunt down the biggest set and follow in behind the last wave. Gun it full speed towards the shore riding high with feet barely in straps. At last second turn slightly upwind and mini jump off the board to parachute into the wind and hope for a soft landing. Then run up the beach out of the impact zone while grabbing the board least with your free hand (trying to keep the foil from acting as an anchor). This worked well for me last time when there were chest to head high waves breaking in a few feet of water on a really high tide, with strong current sucking out. Had I try to prone paddle in I would have been a sitting duck. I did bruise my heel though (rude welcome back to land after floating around for an hour!)

The reel leash works great, as you can really get distance between yourself/wing and the board/foil when needed. Iím always grabbing the reel leash when I wipe out so I can stop or speak up the auto recoil depending on positioning of the board in relation to wind and wing. Also hook my wing leash to the same waist belt and only have fealty with a couple tangles, which really sucked.

Having previously had a 3.5M Swing as my smallest, venturing out into 25-35MPH+ wasn't exactly a joyride(only 145 lbs).  Now with my 2.2M BRM, it is full on go-cart mode.  Sheet in and rip around everywhere.  Those smaller sizes can handle gusts crazy well.  Much better experience overall and not really unnerving like when you are overpowered in heavy winds as a lightweight.

Iíve been really digging my new pre-curved kayak mitts (3mm). Huge difference over 2mil patagonia surf gloves. Hardly any fatigue and very warm. Kota tat or something is the brand.

28
When it is consistently above 28mph I go for my 2.2m BRM. Such a blast.
25-30 is the 3M
20-25 is the 4m
15-20 is the 5m
10-15 is the 6m

I've been following the Prada Cup a bit.  Poor England is struggling!  Just can't keep it up on foil.  They have the largest chord on their foil, and largest flap.  They seem to have their balance off with their 'stab'.

The races are decided by who stays on foil the most.  One small mistake on a gybe/tack and off foil they go and it takes time (more for some teams than others) to regain the forward speed to get up on foil.  They are saying they need around 14 knots (going off memory) to get up on foil.  If one team falls off foil, the lead jumps to hundreds of yards in seconds.  The ones that are close are exciting for sure.

Def doable. I have a 5í1 FSM that around 74 ltr. And Iíve proned it a few times. First wave on my 1850 was on that board and got a 3-1!
