I tried today on a FFB 110L dagger. Big Foil. 5M wing. Turns out the 10MPH wind that I had seen, ended up only being 5 MPH by the time I got to the beach and in the water and then was even less throughout the next hour.

The best part about it was paddling the board back to the starting point was MUCH easier than walking on the sand carrying everything back. I did not get on foil if you were wondering.

I wouldn't say it's easy. I don't think I could do it for example. But with the proper equipment and a lot of foil pumping skill, yes you can learn to paddle up day 1.

You don't have to paddle those huge foils very fast. You do have to know how to pump them so they don't stall.

Ah OK. No emotion. Just wanted to make sure I was understanding what you were saying. I've taken to not repairing a few cracks on my wing board for the same reason. I tape it up when I ride. Then take the tape off and let it drain between sessions.

He also has 3 boards. I'm pretty sure efoils are like Harley Davidson's. You can't just buy one and ride buy yourself. You have to buy enough so your friends will ride with you too.

Sweet! Look up the boards that Jesse Billauer used to ride after his injury. Seems like they have ways to keep his body on the board.

I agree with what you said about the podcast too. Not always sure that Adrian has the correct findings from his experiments. But he does experiment, I'll give him that.

I rode one of these from a local LA shaper. Thing worked really well. Paddled like a surfboard, instead of a boogie board. I only towed with it, but it worked better for that than the wing boards I've used to tow. No problem carving since it's so narrow. Pumped fine with no additional swing weight. It was a 5'6" version of the one I'm linking.
