Please PM when you guys are here...and please bring boards with long or forward tracks.  :)

I'll be there all next week ready to test.

Just get a mast adapter and use your axis mast with the other brand fuse.

I think surfdocsteve (insta) modified his controller to use with his mouth.  he holds it in his mouth and uses his tongue to control it while also paddling...

I'll be in the gorge in a couple weeks and would love to try the foils for a quick session.

Hard to say with such a short clip, but looks like if you just keep paddling and go for that second bump behind you, you'd have enough speed to get on foil. Use first bump to get speed up, and second bump to pop up.

Has anyone winged these foils and given you feedback?

What would you guys recommend for someone who has a barracuda and a larger board at their disposal. Have lots of foil experience via efoil, tow boogie, and sup foil but hardly any experience riding switch and wing. Wanting to get into winging.

get a wing and a skateboard and play around just learning how to use the wing.  do this much longer than you think you actually need to, practice switch.  then just take your sup board out and try to put the 2 together. get used to doing knee starts, and how to control board with wing, riding switch.  do that for 2-3 sessions, then grab your 'cuda and do a couple sessions with it.

My guess for trying to prone in the gorge would be to just paddle hard enough to stay in the same spot in the river, not drift downstream or paddle to hard upstream, then once you feel that perfect bump paddle hard.

Every part of me wants to do it right now but I need to get this SurfCowboy off my ass, so I better get down to the water.  Hah!

SurfCowboy needs to get his ass in the water too! Hahaha!

Any updates now that the wind has come back? Have you taken them out into some bumps?

I proned my 7'6" DW sup on a tiny glassy day and was able to catch the smallest non breaking waves. Pretty fun!

Day 1 and you already have your mast slammed to the front. I like your style, haha.

Also planning on being out there second week of July.  Looking forward to getting passed by some swim missiles!

curious how everyone starts on their smaller boards.  I posted the vid below on how I start

then a buddy posted his version, which I like the looks of, but have yet to actually try

anyone do it differently or have a "better" way to start?

what did you use on the front handle to stiffen it up?

Unlike the Naish board, the new Kalama requires the Axis mast plate to be all the way forward for equal foot pressure. I'm using a single extra-long front foot strap set all the way forward.

Strap all the way forward? try moving front strap back, you're on a SUP you should have room to play around a bit. bring your front foot closer to foil if you can't bring foil closer to front foot
