You are correct. Sugar Pine State Park & the magical West Shore. Tahoma is my hometown. Paddled yesterday & it was amazing. Smooth as it gets. Big Sal & I are on it throughout the winter whenever the conditions look like the photos. Let me know when your in Tahoma. Springtime is a perfect time of year for paddling Tahoe.

Lake Tahoe is so deep at over 1600' it does not freeze. We are also in a maritime climate with temperatures rarely dropping into the single digits or teens for extended periods of time.

When weather permits its great to get out on Lake Tahoe in the middle of winter. You pretty much have it to yourself & friends. Smooth glassy clear water & alpenglow before sunset. Got to keep paddling whenever you can. Bring your wetsuit & 5 mil booties the next time you visit Tahoe in the winter.
