Not sure if you have a Blackfish paddle dealer in you area. They have a full carbon 1 piece Nootka coming for 2019 for $399 CAD

That is great news that there are some SMIK boards headed to Canada! I see quite a few Infinity boards in the water on the west coast Vancouver Island. Would love to see some from SMIK. Let me know if you are ever headed out this way. You would be more than welcome to use one of my boards. 8’7 up to 8’10 and 115-140 litres seems to be my comfort zone at 70 kg and 63yrs in waist to head high beach break.

We actually just moved to NS from BC. Surf a bit in Tofino but never saw Infinity. lots of Sunova and ONE these days out there

What sizes are zoners on these days. Up in Halifax the SUP Surf scene is small and I know a couple guys on 8' x 30" but everyone else is on 10' stuff...

You are correct. ONE offers the EVO PVC in a 14' x 26 only. Its a bombproof board but the penalty is the weight.

I haven't heard of any design changes. The 2018 run had a lot of tweaks to the boards so they may just hold for a year. If something comes up I will post about it. As it is I am getting a Blackfish Black board!

for 2019 they have Blue, Orange and Black LTD Edition. I don't know what it looks like but I like the sound of it!

Try getting a hold of Peter Allen in YVR. He's the sales manager for ONE/Blackfish Paddles and may have weights for you. The EVO/EVO PRO weight difference may be a wash. With the dugout boards more volume is added to the nose. They do offer an *ULTRALIGHT* CARBON LAYUP but I don't think anyone is bringing them in. Have you considered moving down to a 23" board. An EVO PRO dugout would be ideal for you. Nice low COG and narrow width would be wicked fast.

Go see Deep Cove Kayak or call Escape Route in Squamish. They are both clearing out ONE boards (demo and new). The ONE EVO flat deck or EVO PRO dugout are both great boards designed to perform well in BC waters whether your racing, getting exercise or down winding.
