For SUP foil DW I've been using the Axis short fus, I used to go with the ultrashort but I found the longer better, more control, more glide especially with longer boards such as my 6'4 and 7'6. I tried the ultrashort with my dw 7'6 and I could feel the pitch, I was loosing too much control.
But for surfing small wave I go with the new adv crazyshort, the pumping is quicker and off course it turns better so it suits my 4'6.

Good conditions lately in Fnorth west pf France :
I'm using mostly my 6'4 x 20 but I'm also using my 7'6 x 18. For our conditions, the 6'4 works better as we usually have nice easy bumps. Foil I mostly use is Axis art1099 and 999. I'm just learning to use the 899 which is way more technical for getting up than the 999.

Does anyone have any spec/dims for his board? Looks like a mini version of sup race board with round front deck and somewhat recess standing area. Looks like it just a bit wider than his feet.
I think it is a 7'6 x 14, Kane to go super narrow but it is actually to narrow and too low volume for him from what he said.

This is my brand new 7'6 x 18 - 86L This board allows me to take off with aa smaller foil (axis art 999) on tricky conditions such as crossed big ground swell.

Better top speed and better turning with the 1300.

Anyone care to make any comments comparing these two wings against eachother? -turning -glide -bottom and top end - anything else
Sorry I haven't been on the forum lately. I don't really surf those foils, only sup dw, those are too big for me for wave. Turning is better with the 1440, lets say more surfy feeling. But the 1099 paired with ultra short fus (or maybe the new fus) and 325 it turns actually good but not as tight. Glide : I really like the art 1099 glide, there is something special about this wing. More front foot pressure with Axis than Takuma. Also axis way more stiffer, more control especially for 80kg + guys. 1440 better glide on really weak swell. Speed : 1099 faster Both good foil, I usually use the 1440 when it is super light with small bumps but if it gets average to good then 1099.

Frenchfoiler, it looks like you are on a similar page to KD Maui with regards to longer and narrower. The box in the pictures you showed seems very far back (or it could be the angle of the photo) and the rocker is flat behind the mast? Don't you find the flatter tail rocker a problem wrt take-offs the longer the board gets and how do you compensate for that?
Would you say this design would double up as a decent Sup-wave foil and wing board?
There is another angle so you can see more the bottom of the board.

I think for dw you don't need ultra short and wide. You need to go as narrow as possible but able to paddle strong. The reason why is you don't want something that stick. I think double concave help for take off and also for stability while paddling.
For exemple I went from 5'2 x 26 - 100L to 5'5 x 24.5 - 96L to now 5'7 x 22.5 - 91L (with more volume at the nose).
I think you need to put the fin box more forward than sup surf foil or wing board.
Thanks for the information French foiler. How much do you weight? What about the tail? are you in favor of square or a pin tail? Regards
I'm 1m70 and 75kg Regarding the tail, I like the round tail

Definetly depends on your level.
My current set up : 52foilboard 5'7 x 24 - 96L (ultra light) + Signature Albatross 250 or 210 regarding the conditions.

I tried the 1150 only flat water and catching boat wake. Super easy maybe the easiest foil this size to get up ?? Amazing glide on tiny boat wake so I guess it might be good for super light dw. Two firends of mine have it (SUPER, they are heavier than me) and now they can connect multiples waves which they couldn't do even with the 1020.
