It not a lake.. It’s a bay.. and it’s a very big bay..

It’s Port Philip Bay and it’s in Melbourne, Australia..

I live about 2 minutes walk to that spot and the conditions can vary so much from wild and surfable to glassy like in my vid..

Yesterday I had a nice little session at the end of the day on my foil drive..

I’d buy it if I lived closer.. I’d absolutely love it and I have many friends with that exact board and they also absolutely love it.. I think you shot yourself in the foot with your other post saying how much better your new board is over your old Naish board..  ;D

Second session and having fun without wind or waves..

The Naish Bullet would be awesome and a perfect choice..

I'd get one in a heartbeat but I'm 100 kg it's just not enough volume for me..

Nice one DJ, I would like to do similar but my pod is constantly moving up and down the mast depending on use. Hard to have an intergrated mast and moveable pod.

A mast that has wires running to both ends from the motor.. and also a mast that could be flipped from one end to the other would be nice..

That way you would have the option to use it as an efoil (like mine) or run it like FoilDrive was intended and be used up near the board..

Bill could make this for sure..  8)

Yes Bill.. You hit the nail on the head..  8)

Foil SUP / Re: A friend's Naish foil rig

I have that Jet 1650 and it’s a nice easy to learn foil but pretty slow and not a performance foil.. It’s a surfing foil and not a good choice for winging.. The HA 1400 is a big jump from the 1650 being much faster and requires more control.. It’s a great foil and at his weight it should be perfect.. I’m thinking he just needs more time and I wouldn’t bother make any adapters.. Naish know what they are doing and there’s no need to mess with it.. I’ve got that 1400 and know two friends that only use that size foil.. It’s a great wingfoiling foil.. Does he have it positioned up near the front of the boxes? The Axis foils need to be positioned near the back of the boxes.

Naish do make different fuselages but the stock set up should be fine.. Both myself and many friends use Naish foils and have no problems..
I’d also be interested in what foil and his weight.. I think one of the biggest mistakes people can make is to try and jump the learning process and attempt to use foils that are either too small or too high aspect for their ability.. I wonder it that’s happening here.. It might also be a set up issue or board compatibility thing..

Anyone else getting no sound?

How about the paddle?

New Quick Blade paddle advertisement says,
"We believe based on initial testing of the Stingray that it is so efficient it has increased boat traveling speeds by 1-2%;"
thoughts, or is that insignificant?

HaHaHaHaHa.. and when do they start shipping?

Had a late afternoon foil at my local beach helping friends just learning and only been out a few times.. It’s sad to see our summer down under coming to an end.
