Has anyone tried one yet? I'm interested in filling the need for a noserider in my sup quiver. I have the shortboard side covered with my PSH ripper. I'm not just looking for a board to do cheeter fives. I want one that lets you perch on the nose. Just curious if anyone has tried one or if I need to go custom.

I kitesurf pier 1 on a regular basis. I ride it as big as it gets. I wouldn't even think of taking my sup out there when it's big.  :o I haven't gotten as comfortable on my sup yet. Awesome wave, but not very forgiving. Props to those who are taking sup to that level.

Saw a guy with one on the lahaina side a couple of years ago. Looked so cool that I thought of getting one, until I saw the price.  :o  Decided to buy a sup instead. I have no regrets.

Why go to the most popular spots?  There are so many breaks right there that you can have to yourself or with a few people.  SUP lets you get to out of the way spots easily and you can avoid the whole circus.  No problem.
I totally agree with you here. I started Sup not because I wasn't getting waves ( I can still get my share) I started because I can have a blast in waves that otherwise suck. And I don't need to be in the pack to do it. In fact, when it's good, I would much rather surf a more responsive surfboard than a floating barge. JMHO

Yea, I remember Mike! He lived in the S.I.C house (no pun intended) He taught the Richman boys how to kite. I wondered where he ended up. He was a real patient and fun guy.    :)

That vid. of the cat could have gone ugly! Glad he made it. Back to S.I.C, I'm saving for an F-14 or F-16. I like the idea they're closer to my house now.

I had the same experience as you Linus. Damn coil leash would tangle up like a slinky! Arrhh >:(  Maybe a part coil like the Balin leash would do , but as was said on another thread, they aren't available here.

Is that a picture of a typical turn on a race course? While I find it humorous to watch, I would be bummed to have my expensive race board damaged in the traffic jam. I'm sure the sponsored  guys don't care, but i do. JMHO.

And if your wearing the yellow one you get wave priority.   :D

My thoughts are this. The saddles support the 20' +- boat on an area that doesn't have any xtra strength. Some do this because they have no choice. But if you have the choice, support it from the cockpit area as it is the strongest area on the boat. The saddles can also cause soft spots over time. ( Maliko was good today:)
