jpeter, If I was you I would go to Waikiki and see the sights.  Stay downtown and surf you're brains out.  Lot's of shopping and fun things to do.

Stoneaxe, you know about the ford transit?  Get the high roof with the 3.5 eco boost engine.  With the tow package you can tow 7000 lbs.  Lot's of good trailers out there.  Pull into the rv park.  Unhitch, and go.  Been there, done that.

Weasels wake,  I am not buying how hard windsurfing is.  I think you're just gripping the boom too tight.  Remember it's just fingertip control.  One thing I can't figure out is where did all the women go?  On a good day awhile ago there would be lot's of women in the lineup.  Jan Baby, Kerry, Wendy, Renee, Nancy, Jan, Jannette, Susie, Barb, Patty, Ali, Terry, Debbie, Lori, Kelly, Katy, Kelly, and a few more.  Wish they were still around.  Karen also

OK, I don't live on Maui.  I just store my van and boards there.  Been doing it a few years and it works.  I got a killer deal on a Striker 8 11.  Bright green , my favorite color.  I'am paddeling out at Kanaha on a overhead day.  A big dumb looking guy paddles over to me and tell's me what a piece of shit my board is.  No rocker, too wide, wide point too far forward. etc, etc, etc.  He takes off on a outside set and somehow wipes out.  Just my good luck I get the next wave and had fun scarring the shit out of him.

Great video Clay.... i'am not sure why you are using such a big board.  With you're surfing background, you should be on a much smaller board.  Your wide board is a big problem.  I am 70 years old and using a 28 inch wide Kings longboard.  I am the same weight as you and have no problems in any conditions.  Width is a HUGE factor in performance.  Something slim and about 115 liters and you will be ripping.
