The Shape Shack / Time to build a foil specific board
« on: August 01, 2018, 04:49:47 AM »
Hi, I'm going to build another board and would like to have a combo tuttle with fin boxes. Has anyone seen this type of setup that you can buy? If not, what boxes would you recommend.

Thanks

Gear Talk / Wake Foil
« on: June 04, 2018, 04:55:41 AM »
Since it is flat here in Texas, I'm spending time foiling behind the boat. So, to share the stoke, I took out an ol friend and he was foiling on the 200 in less than an hour. He's a 150lb and the 200 started flying at 6.5 mph....so cool to see him advance so quickly.  We plan on spending more time on the lake and want to migrate to a wake foil. This video shows a rig with a very shallow Tuttle box. Does any Zoner have any experience with this box? Where can I get one...ect.

« on: May 10, 2018, 10:09:01 AM »
Just received this foil from a friend and am asking for repair suggestions. Sadly this foil is not very old and the damage was done on land. Makes me want to cry!

The Shape Shack / Base Plate to Mast Construction
« on: February 27, 2018, 08:04:55 AM »
Hi, currently assembling the mast, fuselage and base of a Clearwater kit. I routed a 1/2" deep recess into the fuselage at the mast connection added around 50oz of cloth to each side of the base/mast and also drilled and epoxied 2 1/2" x 3/8 fiberglass rods. More glassing in that area will be applied when I glass the fuselage. I hope this is stout enough. My concern is how to beef up the mast base connection.

I would appreciate any and all suggestions :)

Wind Powered / Foil Kit
« on: February 17, 2018, 07:45:45 AM »
Well, I broke down and bought one of those Clearwater kits. Only the foils have been completed at this time and they are mounted to a King mast and fuselage. I added a Tuttle box, mast track and foot straps to an old beat up SB Hero. This will be my beginning Wind-foil board and expect it to get beat up pretty quickly. I should hope to be in the water this week and post how it goes.....fingers crossed.

Wind Powered / Mast track Placement
« on: November 07, 2017, 04:47:40 AM »
Hi, a friend just about gave me a new 7'8" x 34" SUP foil that I would like to add a mast track. The Tuttle Box is 19" from the tail. Suggestions for mast track placement would be appreciated.
