Check this out.
You can catch waves, cruise, race,
what else? Hey Tim what would be the
Coast Guard Designation for this thing?
Any thoughts?

Gear Talk / Starboard 8'5" X 29-1/2" Pro
« on: June 17, 2010, 11:18:58 AM »
The 8'5" X 29-1/2" Pro,
is a 2-1 set up and really goes places beyond the Pocket Rocket.
More nose rocker, slight concave in the nose, Rounded Pin tail,
"New" Honeycomb Fins are really an improvement.

This board carves, pumps, vertical drops, barrels, off the top re-entries,
tail stands.

Bogs in the flats more than the Pocket Rocket with my weight at 185#.

I have had it in moderate chop and it is doable.

So Far on wave faces 10-12', any larger?

This is a Pre-production Board in Orange touch.

The Handle position sucks, this will change in the future.
I have to wrap my 10' leash around the nose to make an
over shoulder sling otherwise the board will hit the ground
with that handle location.

This is one of our custom pads with the front black section missing at sea.
Yes I like the tail kick more forward.

This is now my go to board.
