Question -

Like a stopwatch, I would like to push a button, start my session, then push it again to stop the data record. Then be able to read what average speed was for that session.

Do all these gps watches have that simple functionality?

What I don't want is to have to sync up the watch with my phone or computer,  download the data, and generate a report.

Although sharks use many senses to hunt prey, eyesight is not insignificant among them. I wonder if graphics on the bottom of a board of a type clearly not found in nature would tip the scale away from wanting to bump or investigate.

Or maybe Orca graphics.

Does anyone know what adhesive is used on these and how best to defeat and remove it? Otherwise I'm just going in blind with heat gun and solvent...but don't want to damage finish.

Yep that is a sweet spot with lots of manufacturers building in that size niche. Just get a respected, well constructed board(on the lighter side) and then use it... get to know it ...
