Currently have the stock 9" dagger style. Use is smaller closer frequency.... not big open swell. I'm curious if anyone has come across a worthy alternative?

So today there was the equivalent of a 'fun run' 5k SUP race in Seattle which, to Mark Raaphorst's great credit, I won, on an X14Pro. In addition to glory, I received a nice bottle of wine, which I had to then transport a half mile back to my put in spot. I found the substantial thickness of the leash coil provided more than enough weight to keep the wine anchored on the top of the board, where it belonged. And in the event of mishap gone unnoticed by me, I'm confident the Velcro cuff provided a secure enough purchase on the bottle to allow it to be dragged the half mile home, chilling it along the way. So good job FCS.

Does anyone know what adhesive is used on these and how best to defeat and remove it? Otherwise I'm just going in blind with heat gun and solvent...but don't want to damage finish. Thanks!

Interesting that Outside Magazine chose this image... the article focuses on runners' boredom, gist being that boredom's not necessarily a bad thing, as it may lead to 'flow'. Personally I seldom if ever feel bored. Perhaps the closest is when I'm forced to wait in an uninteresting environment, or am on a treadmill, but never when I'm outside being active. Running, biking, paddling. Not necessarily in the zone, but a combination of engagement with the sights, sounds, smells, and meditation... a chance to think about things. I can see why Outside chose the image. It's striking. Just not apropos...

Can anyone who owns a new Quest confirm the accuracy of the advertised weights? Are they as optimistic and variable as in the past? Or better, due to tighter construction process.... I'm considering a 9'6" Quest ... if truly the 25lbs as advertised, that's probably fine. But if actually heavier, I'd like to know. Thanks!

I have a board that, when dropping in straight, sort of chatters down the wave. Not every time, but often enough that I wonder WTH is that. I'm a novice surfer, usually taking off straight, then eventually turning. So I have lots of opportunities for this to happen.
Is this a thing? The board? Me?
The board is a 9’9"x33 Jimmy Lewis, mostly concave up front.
I've surfed similarly sized boards, 10.5x30, 10.6x33, 9.5x32. But only this one 'chatters' like this, and I'm curious.
Thoughts? Experiences? Thanks!
