SUP General / Frankenstein SUPing in Van Helsing movie

Has anyone ever noticed the ending of the 2004 movie 'Van Helsing'?  The Frankenstein monster SUP's into the sunset on a 3-log raft.  Too funny.

Downwind and Racing / Cat hull racer

Brand new to the game and but not new to making things, just finished a cedar strip/epoxy 4-man surfing canoe.

Anyways, looking into building a downwind/racer.  Anyone thoughts into building one with a catamaran type twin hull for stability and speed through the chop?  You could thin out under the deck to keep the volume the same.

Maybe even go with two separte hulls and conect with aluminum poles that a standing platform could sit on to reduce weight even more?

I'll submit some CAD drawings ideas later.
