Gates presents he premise that testing is useless without a 24hr turn around of results.   Idea is that until you get your results you are out infecting everybody.  I don't agree.   For most of us in todays predicament;  If you get a fever,  just assume it's corona and stay at home.   The irresponsible people are going to circulate with others no matter what (or not get tested).
For me, if I get this thing I will see a doctor at the point of needing hospitalization.  I think a high percentage of folks are in the same mind set.

I own a PC with original Windows OS,  and Office suite that I can not use because Windows now thinks the OS is counterfeit software.  Because of this sort of never ending BS,  I put Gates in the ahole category.  The guy has some agenda's but I don't think Gates is trying to implant microchips in all humans or other crazy stuff.

I am pretty open to hearing conspiracy theories.  Like say Epstein not killing himself.  But things are getting ridiculous.   Woody Harrelson (and others) thinks that 5G in Wuhan is the cause (or made it much worse) of the outbreak.  JP

Pointless thread from the start.   But I do agree with Rbgar's statement.

Friday was too windy to SUP and out of my league at the usual beach.  I told a friend I would shoot if he had the nuts to go out.  Sequence from the camera data shows a 30 second ride on this logo to mast high wave.  Did get a SUP in on sunday AM,  no-one out and a decent wave at PJ light.  Tide was a bit high so some closeouts close to shore but almost by myself.   Day after the big surf is gone is the best with everyone catching up on life and resting.  JP

My best day paddling was Humberto 2 Fridays ago.  RI was really good.  Did get some windsurf and wind sup time with the first two storms as a bonus.

Friday at PJ had great conditions,  I SUP'd the stylemaster at the K early to keep out of the crowd.   Shooting at the lighthouse later tempted me out for another hour.  Some of my best rides ever,  clean and overhead !  Shots from the lighthouse.  JP

I usually surf till im spent then take some photos as time allows.  Looking back at the pictures there are always a few people that end up in all the shots and look good in every one.   These guys were just shredding every wave they got.  Great inspiration.  JP

Did a predawn surf yesterday,  Point Judith area.   Two guys got on the water carrying SMALL boards as I was coming out.  These two looked like shortboarders on the wave.  Great to watch !  I will say that they were not waiting for waves while standing.

You mention Nahskwell,  the parent company makes the sealion series.  Available in Europe.  I own a 8'3 and 9' sealion.  Both great to surf in crap conditions.  (they windsurf well also)  And very forgiving.  Only 29.5" wide but super wide fish tail makes it stable to stand on.  The new 8'6 wings would be an option that gets you foiling if you ever go that route.  JP

Beasho,  I use saran wrap over epoxy for some repairs.  NO-sanding.   Let me know if you do a CT visit this summer.  Fish or surf.  JP

Gear Talk / Hot glue paddles

I kept getting water in my paddle and re-glued a few times.  The last re-glue I added duct tape at each joint.   Still leaking water in !   When I peeled the tape away it was dry.   Turns out I have a pin-hole in the top of the handle.   Last night I heated the shaft up and then applied epoxy at the leak.  Hoping the cooling air inside draws some epoxy in for a good seal.  KeNalu Ho'oloa,  it's a great paddle.
