Holy Hell!

I feel like pretty lucky.... 58 years of age and I eat EVERYTHING I desire and crave with the exception of raw seafood.  I LOVE a couple of beers each eve. but no hard stuff...never a shot or mixed drink kinda guy.  I workout (cardio and weights) and/or surf every day of the week (religiously) and feel pretty good at 6' 1" and 180-185lbs., but have a history of head/neck cancer and skin cancer so appreciate every day and my local opportunities and friends!!!  Life is good!

Pono:  I'm thinking you need to be able to drive that thing....just need some fat boy tires on the front, one of your hot rodded electric motors and a set of handle bars...    ;D ::) ;D ::)

That thing will definitely smoke some serious poundage!

Saturday mornings dawn patrol session was a just 3/2 with no boots, gloves, or hood. Water and air both about 60...not cold at all.  Nice......I likely won't be in a rash guard and trunks till August.  ::)

Beasho:  Love those pics!  Brings back major memories for me.  I jumped on my high school varsity team all 4 years  (Team Captain Junior/Senior year) back in the late 70's.  Jumped all thru the northeast.....favorite was the big hill at Williams College in Williamstown, MA, Good times!  Like you, I had a very very dear friend growing up who was an incredible skier (aerials) - he actually went on to join the Pepsi Team traveling as a roller skating pro.  Sadly, he broke his neck while messing around doing floor gymnastics one day.

Thx for the pics!!! Made my day!

Big:  Not surprised you never saw any vessel(s) as East Passage is the main route in Narragansett Bay....this is the side most ships use to head to Providence.  Even the car carriers going into Quonset (on the west side of the Bay near Warwick) tend to favor the the East Passage as best I recall...more depth/wider channel = safer transit.

May has been a great month thus far.....12 sessions in the books.  This past Sat and yesterday (Mem. Day) have been super fun with clean conditions for the early early morning sessions.

I've been messing with fin placement and have been trying a fin that Mr. Big suggested...his FCS Fat Boy.  I started with it all the way up front, then middle, now its all the back in the fin box.  Not sure I'm sold just yet....still an underway experiment.

Any way, here a batch of pics from this holiday weekend.  Hanging out up front a lot these days.....I'm still fine tuning my step and feet placement.  Still not getting a true "toes over", but its only a matter of more time in the water....I think next session (tomorrow probably), I'll practice squatting down and extending my front foot out - should be able get the piggies over doing that!   ;D ;D

The quest continues!!!!!!

Wow!  VERY impressive!!!!!  That ride starting at min 0:45 is very very nice....it looks like an easy breezy board to maneuver. And especially perfect for small summer New England days....like you said "gonna make a lot of non-surf days surf days.

Of course, equally impressive is the fact that your trunkin it in 50 degree water with others around you in hood, booties and gloves!

First the "Creek", now the "Point Break"......what could possibly be next??????????????  Maybe the best nose riding SUP ever??

I know that Soloshot 3's are a bit pricey but considering the money we pay for boards, paddles, wetsuits, etc., the product one can obtain can not be out done (a side from maybe a drone).....

I've got soooooo many hours of video that I've used as a training tool which has been invaluable  - and lot's of still images which are easily captured and exported.  I've framed several 8"x10" shots and even blew up one image (below) to a 3'x4' poster (and built a frame from home depot molding for less than 10 bucks.  SOOOOOO worth the Soloshot!

(Oh, as far as performance): Early on I had a minor tracking problem for one or two sessions but I've had probably somewhere between 50-100 sessions with nary a problem (and all on Water/tight setting).  I did all the software updates as they were released too...hasn't been any for months now).  Works like a dream!

Do yourself a favor!!!  You won't regret it!!!!

apologies for the diverge...  ;)

Music to my ears Jim....of course that's the sound I associate with bowhunting early in the morning as the woods start to come alive and one is ever vigilant to the cracking of a twig or the slightest of sounds that could be ol' Mr. Whitetail. .....the heart quickens and the mouth salivates on the thought of fresh venison.

But I digress....sorry.  ;)
