SUP General / Re: My Lower Back..Finally Did It...

Sup-Position,
Check out Active Release Technique. Its saved me in life. My chiropractor does it and its a simple massage technique that breaks up bound ligaments, muscle, tendons that might be hung due to some injury..
http://www.activerelease.com/what_patients.asp

The guy who invented it was hired by the Denver broncos to treat the athletes and since then they have had way less knee injuries. So it can be used after an injury or just to get your body moving in the right direction.

I sometimes wonder if it makes SUS'ers hyper cautious or over sensitive to the lineup or any issues with other surfers.. I really have never had any issues in the PNW but there just aren't many of us here.

Not so gentle re-direct here.

I don't know how anyone else feels but I'm not reading another conflict thread. No sense filling the internet, and world, with this stuff.

It makes SUS'ers look like toddlers.

Join a quilting club or throw tea parties or something but this has got to stop. The Zone reads like teenage gossip right now. I personally don't care what some douche in Orange County said or did. Note that this has nothing to do with restricted access, HPWA etc. We're seeing threads about people looking at people weird! Projection, look it up.

New topic suggestions: good sessions, shapes, fins, techniques, trips, pics, stoke, boards, how badass Gerry Lopez is, etc.

I love this forum, and all you guys.

Let's all man the f up.

That is all.

SUP General / Boot/Glove Drying Rig
« on: September 29, 2014, 12:18:31 PM »
I have spent a good bit of time in the last 8 years drying wet motorcycle boots, but lately I am drying wet booties and gloves after surfing. I have several rigs but none even worthy of a picture. I am using small fans, dowels, milk crates and PVC.

Will post pics when I land on something worthy. Not proud of anything lately and its always a rig.

Those who wear them, how are you drying booties and gloves? (pics pls).
Thanks in advance,

Thanks for sharing.. Definitely an interesting idea..

My concern would be the join between the hard and soft board..

It also appears to wheelie around as if the front sits much higher in the water.

http://magicseaweed.com/Cape-Kiwanda-Surf-Report/560/

I would love to be on the water Monday-Wednesday but Monday is more my speed and more realistic with my schedule.

If anyone wants to hook up at PC let me know, Kinda spooky paddling out in the fog alone.

PM me..

NorthWest / Looking for SUP riding folks in Portland/Valley Area
« on: May 20, 2014, 02:42:26 PM »
Greetings. I live in the Valley(McMinnville) and am looking for others who like to SUP in the area.
We usually hit Kape Kiwanda, but I am looking to explore other areas unreachable by prone surfers. I am usually looking for 1-5 foot waves. Anything larger and I am watching from the shore.

I am in good shape and can paddle for hours on end..

Looking to explore and catch some tasty rides.

Hit me up.
