Haven't done a video in a while. Was a little rusty. Hope you guys like it. I sure enjoyed the surfing part!  8)

Demo-ed the 8'0" x 30-1/2" x 4-1/2", 126 ltrs. Waist high, occasional chest high waves w/smooth seas, slight sideshore wind. This board is just doable for my weight and ability(180lbs/6'0"/intermediate). No casual SUP surfing experience, that's for sure! You gotta be ON IT! Can't imagine this board working in any choppy/windy conditions considering it's a measly 15-1/2 lbs. Looks like I'm gonna pull the trigger. At $1,300 it's def a better price than the Hokua32LE which came in at 2100!! Diggin' the blues on this board too, real nice paint.

My local SUP dealer contacted me about these boards. Went in and the 8'0" is feeling SWEET under arm. I just wish it had Future fin set up instead of FCS. All three of my current SUPs have futures and I could easily swap out a set of quad fins for it. I was told this board only comes w/thruster fins stock. Still looks like I'm gonna pull the trigger though. I was considering the Naish Hokua32LE but just too pricey.

Looks like business as usual in the Land Down Under! I like the remoteness of that spot. Not a whole lot of that left here in NJ. Sweet vid. I give it the "Thumbs Up" too!

Got to demo an 8'11" Woodchuck here in NJ. Have to say the board handled real well. I think the next smaller size down would perform better for my weight and ability though.

Nice! I started my kid in the surf around that age. He's 23 now and surfs real well, but has only just this summer tried sup, and only once in the surf so needless to say he got frustrated pretty quickly trying to catch a wave. Hopefully he'll stick w/it and ride a few by summers end.

It was def NOT a let down. here in NJ. I surfed alot of good waves on Fri and Sat. It was pretty gnarly for SUP on Fri so I hit it on my 6'6" quad fish. Sat was SUP perfection off the beach I live at though. Fifteen days after my ear surgery for exostosis too.

This storm ran the full gamut of conditions in 48 hrs. From waist high slop early on the fourth to overhead bombs in the afternoon and evening. To perfect waist to chest high offshore peaks the next morning on the fifth. To near flat on the evening of the fifth.

One of the local SUP shops here on Long Beach Island, NJ where I live  got two in each size of the new Hokua 32LEs in about a month ago. I had to walk away! $2399 list!! The owner did offer me a decent discount and knocked the price down to $2100, but it was still WAY to pricey for me, even if it does come w/a stock Naish boardbag. Delicious board under arm though. I was torn between the 7'10 and the 8'3". Maybe one day but for now I'm sticking to riding my Craig's list $700 Coreban Vibe.

I think us folk in New jersey might have fared better w/this one. Real quick shot of swell though. It was a bit gnarly for SUP on the fourth so I challenged it on my 6'6" quad fish. Today(July 5th) was SOOO fun for SUP. I demoed an 8'11" Skinner Woodchuck. A bit big for my weight and ability but a fun ride non the less.

Four days post-op. I'm going crazy w/boredom and pain!!
I fall asleep for a while everyday around noon and upon awaking am welcomed w/a nice sharp pain right dead center, right ear. Take two Vicoden...this is BRUTAL! Sometimes when eating if I chew wrong the ear pain gets agonizing.
Tha Vicoden is NOT strong enough. They shoulda given me Oxy.

Had the procedure. Canal was almost closed but my hearing was good because after three visits to the ENT all the wax had been yanked/sucked/flushed out. But the MRI imaging and actual physical inspection revealed a severely enlarged stosis. Both ears need the op but only one at a time can be done. The right was worse that the left so I went w/that one. I thought it was a simple canal plasty but after reviewing the print outs from discharge I see it was a tympanoplasty/mastoidectomy. I think the more advanced terminology is because this time the doctors went in from behind the ear for a more complete bone removal. my previous procedures were from the entrance of the canal. probably why ther condition kept returning. At least that's what my doctor told me. Probably gonna get the left ear done same time next yr.
Here are the pics in a facebook album and a flicker album.

Point Judith, RI. Sept 2012. Hurricane Leslie offshore. There was a slight sideshore component mixed w/the offshores in the wind putting a bit os a bump on it. The takeoff was sketch! . It was my first full yr charging SUP and this wave was a real milestone for me. I'll NEVER forget it!
