Sessions / June (Surf) Bug

Two days (6/28-29) of beach break action from a few different spots here where I live. First day on my Assassin, second day my Ripper. SOLOSHOT was WAY off for one of the sessions, but managed to grab a bit. Then a buddy moved it like 45 mins into a sesh after a perfect setup (It was in the berm overwash). He meant well and had no clue that you shouldn't move it after setup.

that board took you to a new level of dialed--the whole deal--your stance, turns, sections--astounding because you are not new to surfing, so gains are incremental--yet it seems you jumped way ahead with this board. 

lol, thanx, eastie, that board is a totally different level of performance. Funny, my buddy who I've been ridin' waves w/now for decades said he did even recognize me at first when I started dialin' the thing in. He also commented that the board looks like it just knows when and where to turn. I am def not having one iota of buyers remorse w/it. And I sooo appreciate all the positive input from all the Zoners that have pushed and nudged me to get it.

My mate and i spent 3 weeks in Bali in January this year on the 7'3 model and were truly stoked. Super fast and really loose.

7'3'!! WHAT?! I'm 180 lbs/6'0" and the 8'1" is hard enough for me to stand on waitin' for sets. But I am 57, as if that's a valid excuse!  Like I tell everyone, "It's a bitch to stand on but a joy to ride".

5/5 was PUMPIN! here in NJ! Best conditions yet for "Me on da Vee" and the SS2 NAILED hi res grabs all morning! Shared the "Shooter" w/a few other srfers to spread da stoke. Butter never tasted so good!

Nice long ride in the first clip...really milkin' w/a great relaxed style and approach. Second clip shows ur affinity to an aggressive backside attack. Beauty on that cutback. I didn't realize you were 67, thought more like 62. I always look to srfers older than me 4 inspiration to keep healthy and keep srfin'! Knee brace? Been there a bunch. Torn meniscus in both knees at this point. Only minimal pain occasionally though, thankfully.
Keep ur "Speeed" up!
