Mr Clean Magic Eraser also works great for removing stains and black marks. It's very soft and can't damage the board no matter how hard you rub.

I store my boards stacked upside down on saw horses in the garage. I try to rinse them in the water where I paddle before bringing them home.

If I bring them home with sand or mud on them, I rinse them off with the hose.

I keep my leashes very clean and never let them touch the ground if possible. When I get home, I open the velcro to let it dry.

.

I have used Mr. Clean Magic Eraser....it works fine... only cautionary note to add, is that if you rub too hard, and depending upon your paint quality, you may find more paint on the eraser pad then you want.... go easy at first, then examine, and carefully apply pressure.

I hadn't thought of that. I've never owned a board with paint that would come off.

That's definitely something to be aware of.

The key to not getting smacked in the face is simply getting your back foot to the tail.

I tried that today and it really works.

I fell almost every time but I could see the potential. I just need to practice.

I think in the Kai video, he is actually ducking under the curl and not paddling directly into the whitewater.

The NSI handles are great. I also like the soft tie downs with the spectra loop.

The peel off adhesive they use sticks incredibly well.

I was just thinking that very thing, that maybe my rear foot isn't back far enough.

Although, I think the tail might sink with my boards.

What is the key to not going over backwards?

You have to be careful unweighting the nose on some boards.

Boards with a lot of nose rocker can smack you in the face in a split second.

Some boards seem to handle it better by going straight through the whitewater instead of over it.

I'm no expert though. When it gets over chest high, I just bail.

This was a good thread on the subject from a couple years ago.

Didn't know Bert had a gun as well. Looks like a fun shape.

It looks like a fun shape to me too.  I'm getting a Search 14' this spring.

It's going to be great at the offshore breaks on big days.

You might also consider a 12' Sunova Search.

Jimmy Lewis leash should do the trick!

I broke a 6' one in CR two weeks ago.

They look similar to Dakine and a lot of other common brands.

The forecast looks great up here too. I have the next five days open so I'll be surfing every day as long as the wind cooperates.

I'm still waiting for my Flow. Tino said he was going to ship it last week so it should be here by now, along with AkeG's Speeed. They might arrive today. I wish I knew. The anticipation is killing me.

The shop is letting me borrow an 8'4 King's Wedge in the meantime so that should be fun.

I've stopped using my JL's since I put them on Craigslist.

What exactly does "hand tied" mean?  What is it that's being "tied"?

It's awesome.

I'm watching the men's competition right now.

I like how they look around at the scenery with the camera now and then and the drone shots are great.

Does the Soul have a flat deck or a domed deck?

The Flow is supposed to have a flat deck which might make a difference.

"Badger.... I'll come up soon and we'll have a great session..... I want to see if I can stand on your 8'4"

That will be fun to watch. I want to see that too.  :)
