How big of a board are you looking for and how much do you weigh?

There are usually some pretty good deals on NH Craiglist. You have to check it often because the good boards sell fast. Search the words Paddleboard SUP.

Like Cleveland said, go check out Cinnamon Rainbows at the Wall in Hampton. They have a huge selection of new and used boards as well as free demos every Tuesday and Friday.

The boards are all REAL Sunovas. It's the US seller who isn't REAL, passing himself off as Sunova when he isn't. The best part (as far as Sunova is concerned) is that he'll soon be out of business.

Hi, I received my Speeed yesterday, directly from the Board Factory in Thailand (to Japan). Went fine, I prefer to forget funny details.
Thanx Linter for your posts, it helped to stay confident

Are you saying that you ordered your board through the Sunova US sale but they shipped it to you from the Sunova factory in Thailand? That doesn't make sense.

There has never been a problem ordering boards from the REAL Sunova company based in Thailand. No worries there. As far as I know they don't have anything to do with the renegade Sunova sale going on in the US.

Are all the Sunova US boards being delivered from Thailand?

A piece of carrot also makes a good teeth cleaning snack.

Wow, looks like he really enjoys that ;D

On a serious note what do you other dog owners think about Dentastix?  They seem to work pretty well for our 6 year old bully.

Dentastix seemed to upset my dogs stomach and cause acid reflux.

My dog loved the Indigo Fresh mint flavored dental sticks but they recently stopped making them, so I switched to Greenies which actually do a better job. The Greenies are a little more expensive but they work great to clean her teeth. They are also healthier. I've been giving her a small stick after every meal and as occasional snacks for a couple years now. She had the rottenest breath and I was concerned that she might get gum disease. The chew sticks cured the problem and keep her teeth pretty clean. I get them from https://www.chewy.com/

One important thing to keep in mind is to never give a dog (or any animal for that mater) anything with sugar in it. It's tragic to think of all the dogs that suffer the excruciating pain of tooth decay which may take months or even years to diagnose, followed by the trauma of surgery and huge vet bills. To make it worse, many people refuse to pay for surgery so they just let the dog suffer.

What happens when you fall off? I have this vision of falling off, and having the thing foiling on it's own and dragging me around.

I would think that without the weight of the rider balancing it, the board would just fall over if you fell off. Plus the leash would pull it over the moment there was any pull on it.

I've never heard of paying to demo a board. It's always free at the shops I've been to.

I think MSRP in the US is $1750.

$1500 would be a really good deal.

You won't get the correct price using the conversion.

Gear Talk / Re: Newbie SUP ATX Models?
« on: July 22, 2016, 12:43:05 PM »
I'll second the Riviera. My first board was the Riviera Select 10'6. I only had it for a few months but it was a nice, well made board. It sold fast when I was ready to upgrade.

I'd avoid the SUP ATX. They are not what I would consider a quality board company.

Something to break the monotony of watching world class athletes...

You can say that again.

Where is it that you were surfing? It looks like an interesting place.

Surf forums are a good indicator of how the attitude has changed. A few years ago the forums were full of SUP hate. Now it has definitely mellowed.

I just Googled "Surf Forum" and skimmed through the top four. Hardly a negative word to be found. Then for more results, I searched the forums for the word SUP, and on one forum a lot of them were talking about trying it and some had even bought boards. Yes, I think maybe times have changed.

I put some clear duck tape around the rest of the board
with two layers on the nose and on the tail.  Its all
crinkly on the curve of the nose, but I doubt it affects
surfing performance at all.

Not sure but you might have a situation when the time comes to remove the clear Duck Tape. It's not the same as rail tape or helicopter tape.

Kelly Slater used one

That was four years ago. Does he still use one? Do any pros use nubsters today?

I'm not saying it doesn't work. I just don't know. I'm still open to the idea. I might try one on the Flow at some point. They don't cost much.
