I found this review of the Moses W1000 compared to the Phantom F-One 1480 foil.

Anyone have experience with the Moses W1000?

https://www.mackiteboarding.com/news/joes-thoughts-on-the-moses-1000-vs-fone-phantom-1480/

The problem with Moses right now, is they released a 1000 that does not fit the fuse everyone rides. You have to buy the kite fuse. A deal breaker for me, and part of the reason I abandoned them.

Good review. Lots of good features.

spray paint. Chinese boards are just paint.

Nope, I bought a 90 specifically to cut to 82. 90 is too long for the banana river.

I’m riding 85 now and getting trapped occasionally in stingray flats dragging sea grass and walking out. Not a fun place to be walking.

Strapless requires offset

Just sit back and wait on the next generation wings.

It is mind blowing how “freeing” and instinctively you place your hands with a boom, ALL OVER It.

The day will come when shorter booms, says 3 feet, maybe 4 feet, allow this freedom, and change your world. All at the same weight as current light handle wing models.

Think about this. A 3 to 4 foot length of SUP paddle shaft is similar weight to 3 or 4 wet webbing handles stuffed with foam in my opinion.

You’ll never go back to the restrictive limitations of handles.

Weight is why handles won the early battle. But they will lose out as designs get smarter.

Never going back to handles.

The bag can barely fit Dwights 5’1” wing board, so that would fit the boom, right? It’s a quality bag with wheels.

Where is it tight, length or width?

This is really good news to have a golf bag that fits wing boards.

Golf Bag and a paddle bag with Bass Pro Fishing patch sewn on the paddle bag.

Looks like Alan is doing speed runs on this Duotone prototype mini boom wing. Wing looks good too

Let’s clear things up. Armstrong does not use titanium screws. No brand does. A few brands titanium coat the stainless screws. Armstrong does not.

Titanium being the harder material, and stainless being soft, is the magic. Combined with there being no galvanic corrosion problem between the two. Armstrong uses titanium t-nuts and titanium tapped inserts inside the carbon bits, no galvanic corrosion with the carbon.

What has been nice, beside the lack of corrosion, is how the stainless screws bite into titanium. Screws don’t vibrate loose. They don’t even need to be tight beyond screw driver force levels.

BTW, with Axis, I only added more tef-gel when the fuse to mast screws became hard to remove after a session. Maybe every 6 months or so.

Same stuff. I own both. Feels and looks the same. Both just as sticky and messy. Titanium rules.

The Fone Phantom review is good. It sounds like he likes the type of foils I like. I bet I’d love the Fone foils.

You nailed it. Neil Pryde not only was a steal at the price they sold for, but they were butter smooth, silent, and surfed unreal. Better than all these of the same era, Slingshot, GoFoil, Cloud IX, and Naish.

With Neil Pryde making a big comeback with kdmaui designed wings, fully compatible with the original kit, it is a no brainer future proof foundation.

On the beach right now taking a break. Wind average on sensor 10 mph. I just spanked everyone. Even the 9m 135 lb windsurfer who alway goes, cannot plane. Jacky cannot get on foil with 1850 and 5m. I was on foil the whole time.

2400 working insane with 300 tail with 0 degree shim. Upping my rating to 4 stars.
