Change the whole forum category to Wind Wing and lets all just call it that, until it catches on.

All us old Windsurfers will just have get over it being a sail brand. The rest of the world doesnít have this issue.

Everyone is 90mm

If you're saying you can point higher with a kite, then yeah, sure. But not dramatically so IMHO.

When I use a tall mast and fast wing kiting, Iím in another zip code compared to wingers.  Itís this angle that makes it so. I donít ride like this often, itís scary as shit. My nerves are shot after an hour of this.

Good looking board. Never knew they did SUPsí. Iíve been to the factory, but have not seen behind the secret door. They guard their tech closely.

FYI, if anyone remembers Hana Crew kiteboards, they are the same people. Also owns a killer Burrito shack.

Itís missing, what I think are some magic shaping features of the F-one. The F-one has narrow tips, which reduce wing tip washout. Washout kills L/D. Ask any hang glider pilot. Then f-one was clever in using this, to create tension across the trailing edge, so well, it holds the web above the strut tight. Locking in the profile, even with no wind in the wing. That is sure to help low end and high end.

Until wing designs advance to the point they can reduce wing tip washout, wide tips will struggle at the top end. They are not windsurf sails, twist robs performance.

Polyester resin spider cracks. Not epoxy.

Gong used to be all carbon, mast and fuselage. I owned one. Weight was similar to aluminum.

Gong is made at the same factory in China, as 2 famous brands, I could name.

They simply cutout the distributor and his margin. Thatís why its cheaper.

So true.

Imagine my predicament. Someone orders a board. I want them to have the best experience possible. I want my board to be as awesome for them, as it is for me. Do I dare ask what foil they plan to use? They all work, but some make it so much easier.

Not just WingDinging, but kite and windsurf foiling too. Iíve had a few people crack jokes over how many foils Iíve owned. It plays the biggest roll in the equation.

...... trick is getting board speed up before popping up on the foil and not trying to pop-up to soon.

I found the same.

To get my Axis 1000 wing going in lighter wing, The first two pumps, I concentrate on shoving the board forward. The next two pumps, I unweight and pop up. The next two pumps Iím up, but do them anyway, to gain the extra speed the 1000 wing needs. Then Iím good.

DW Iím curious as to your current wind stats on the 5m

187 lbs with 1020 foil. If there are wind gusts to 12 mph at (least 50 feet wide) then itís worth my effort to pump onto foil. Once up, I can fly along all day in the 9-10 mph wind that goes along with gusts to 12. Need more for the 1000 wing.

Wind gust into the low 20s are OK, as long as they are short lived.

This is general riding back and forth, not down winding. I can handle more, and need more for down winding.

Skills....I went from feeling I needed a 7m, to not needing one. Skills improve so much once you get it.

I still have a buddy who struggles in 20 with a 7m. I know that will change when he gets better.

It really is all technique. Early on, you need power to learn the technique
