SUP General / Re: Decent SUP travel Bag

Thanks guys

FSC flight bags doesn’t seem available for the sup, the long board versions wont take a sup even a 27. The SUP sports bag looks impressive and good design. Vitamin Blue custom bag option sounds like a great option  ;D

SUP General / Decent SUP travel Bag
« on: November 12, 2018, 08:53:42 AM »
I'm Looking for recommendation of a SUP travel bag that is decent quality and 8-10mm thick, for a 9ft 27inch custom SUP, which is capable of taking the board with fins on . There are many options for short and long boards but it seems for SUPs the main brands only do cheaper day bags and some of the better quality brands only take boards with no fins on. Suggestions please. thanks. I tried Dakine, Prolimit, O&E, Rhino, FSC, and others?

I expect this has been discussed  but I can't check through 19 pages of the other foil post - can a kiteboarding foil fitted to a SUP work for SUP foiling? Anyone tried?

Why can't you check? Or search?
I mean if people already answered, do you think it is easier for them to rewrite what they already wrote?
I'm just curious.

Oh dear, did I break forum etiquette? God forbid one to ask specific a question on a subject already 'generally' covered in another post  ;)

If you install a Tuttle Box, there are several brands of hydrofoils that can work. GoFoil is the brand that Kai was using and they offer a foil and t-box kit. Kai was using the All-Around wing style from what I can tell in the vid, but he may have had a custom wing for specifically the SUP. Alex Aguera is associated with GoFoil, so I'd be curious if Kai used something kite specific or SUP/windsurf specific for the wing and fuselage design.

Yes I've see Gofoil . Also company in Europe AHD. Both offer SUP specific foils but much higher prices than comparable kite foils. It would be great if one could be used for both sports albeit unlikely. It would be comforting to see a bit more footage, user experience and info before spending that sort of money.

SUPer is a idiot. Totally inappropriate regardless of whether technically the surfer dropped in. Gives SUPers a really bad name. SUPers need to be respectful.

Not only that the guy is surfing in Cornwall in England and he's telling the other guy to go back to England? and to top it he has a strong Manchester accent so he clearly not even from Cornwall himself.

Can anyone who has tried this board tell me about how it performs. It seems to have unusual rails and is thick in mid section (more like 4.5' than the 4' manufacturer says. Feedback much appreciated as not a lot on the web on this board. Thanks.

great wave.
the idea that the board is too large for the wave is rubbish in my view.
in this video the surfer is constantly right on the tail of the board and doesn't shift his position at all or bend knees much - just an observation not a criticism but this his style and the mean the board shifts a little more erractically - never the less a good show and enjoyable to watch.

Thanks Linus.

hey Alex  in your private message you said you kited in Bequia, we may have met 10 years ago. I had just blown out my knee that day windsurfing and we met you on the road near my house as I was heading to the clinic in the harbor...was that you???

A bit hazey but yes i remember that, just after I got told to stop by the police for being to close to the runway! It's a tricky beach to launch a kite as the gusts are strong until you get further out, but great place. I have a friend that lives at Paget Farm.

Thanks for the info Linus. I thought the Fusion 9 came in Wood too. I was offered one in Europe in wood - would that have the 14 g foam or the 20g?

I have a starboard Pocket Rocket 8.5. I am interested in a second board similar to keep some where else. I am keen on a Coreban Fusion from what I have seen and read, although I didn't particularly want a high volume board (126L vs 148L). I weigh about 70kg. I like a short board but also one good for noseriding so with a rounder nose. For use in large to small surf, quality and lower quality waves - an all round small SUP basically. Can anyone who has tried both give me some feeback.  Also views on their different construction types. Thanks.
