Thanks Rick. I agree the Session is the best surfer cam, I only made the pole cam vids because that camera is light weight enough to be ridable. I really hope dji addresses the problems as their camera has tons of potential and could be a welcome upgrade to the Session.
Thanks SFlinux. Mounts, totally camera dependent. The wobble weight and editing make or break a shot, and how much effort it takes to get watchable footage. If dji makes one with a bigger battery I would totally rethink and make custom mounts just for that camera, simply because it's lightweight enough not to feel it and at the right angle can get a good shot with minimal editing.
For me at this point all 360 is to editing intensive to be usable everyday, once in a while it's okay, but all the time would require a full time editor just to keep up...and the distorted look and stitch lines get old after a while

I wanted to love the dji action 2, the short battery life is a real bummer. I made a video of action cams I am using now:

I need a new 5m so this thread has my interest and kept me from buying an almost new v1 strike.

For me the Armstrong mast is so limiting, to flexy and no easy way to use another brand mast. Alchemy building a product line around that mast is pretty baffling to me, best guess there are a lot light weight riders who don't notice or who only ride the shorter masts.
Axis 19mm is stiff and I have control of my foil instead of wandering all over the place. The Axis mast and design are a good platform to build around, the doodad makes creating adapters straight forward which opens up a huge range of wings that can be ridden from various brands.

I had a new wing valve get sticky and eventually stuck. I used the tool that comes in the bag to unscrew and remove the valve. Rinsed with warm fresh water and pushed the button up and down several times to get unstuck and functioning correctly. Best guess a piece of sand got in there.

I've been using sharpie "permanent" markers for years. Fades over time and I re apply every couple a months or so.

Glad to hear you are flying! I say keep doing whatever works until it stops working.
On my weak side I'm still heavy on my back foot and need to be forward of the mast. If I'm further back relative to the foil I struggle with control and tend to wheelie and yaw into a wipeout.
Essentially I agree with the analysis of Bill and ninja tuna.
I go into detail about control and setup in my learn to foil video course.

The YouTube algorithm knows my interests. Hadn't considered watching, being able to fast forward the replay I enjoyed watching the good rides. Mizo at 39:30 gets a good one: https://youtu.be/WC00PDG7oVA?t=2376

About 10 sessions now, really loving this 8m wing. Only downside is I'm going out when wind is single digits and spending considerable time schlogging.
If averaging 10mph I get up consistently, if single digits waiting for a gust, I can stay up on foil in single digits it's just much harder to get up and to jibe. Once on foil it's amazing how little wind I can foil with.
I didn't ever consider the 7m, not enough for my weight and off season winds.

Three sessions in with the eight meter CWC Strike. Huge improvement over other big wings I have tried:
I had a first gen gong 7m, and then slingwing v2 6.4m, the first was just massive and heavy, second had to abrupt pull and weird handle/placement, I sold both after a handful of sessions.
Some surf spots are wind shadowed and with a 6m it was either very difficult or a no go, stoked to see how the 8m works this winter.
Anyone else tried these new big wings?
