Events / Eastern Canada SUP Championships

Please help spread the word about Eastern Canada's premier Stand Up Paddle event which is taking place Saturday July 6, 2013. Featuring the Elite downwind 15km race, a 5km protected flat water Recreational race and a free kids race.
Team riders from west coast to east coast attended last year as well as Jim Terrell (Quickblade paddles), Joe Bark (Surftech/Bark paddle boards) and John Becker all from California.
We are expecting a larger contingent this year from the eastern US seaboard and look forward to another great event.

Technique / Re: Updates on SUP Instructor Cert Courses

If you can't find someone from WPA to certify you in that area, then shoot me an email at derek@paddlesportperformance.com and we can try to arrange to come into your area whenever you a have a race going on so that we can race one day, and certify people the next.  Please note that not all applicants are accepted into the WPA course.

WPA Instructor Certification courses are indeed available in Canada.

Applicants are accepted and screened prior to the course
The next certification course will take place in Ottawa the first weekend of June.

We will be returning from our Florida Spring Camp and heading to the Carolina Cup with a trailer of boards from the camp.
We will be selling many of our boards after the camp so you might be interested in trying some out.
We'll have MM, Dominators, Competitors, Ohanas, Ravens, Laird Bark Race and many many more.

Hope to see you at the Carolina Cup (as well as our WPA National race in Toronto July 7th)

We are pleased to announce that the event has been sanctioned by the WPA as a NATIONAL race and as such paddlers can Qualify for the World Championships by finishing top 20% of your board division.
