Racing canoes was the same.  The lean was counterintuitive.

I dig tourers.  But I might be a little hesitant of being violated by the light if I fell backwards...

Anyone who let this man convince them to have their testicles removed, doesn't deserve them in the first place:

I thought the exact same thing.  And I couldn't get very far through that video.

Well he certainly looks like a pious humble man.  And mutilating what God created has to be the right path.  Right?

I've got a 14 ft Riviera Voyager.  But if I went out in more than a little chop, I'ld want more rocker in the nose.  It's more of a tourer.  I paddled an inflatable downwinder, but I'm just not an inflatable guy.

Good luck in your hunt.

I have a friend that just did the FB with a big group of SUP'ers.  We had a good run last summer.  I'll be up there all simmer and am on the Nantahala a couple times a week.  There's more paddlers than you think.  And don't forget about the WW Center in Charlotte.

Very cool.  I've got a bit smaller one in NC I'm thinking hard about doing.

About the paddle, if your river is rocky.  I watched several SUP paddles broken on shallow NC rivers before I bought into the whole WWSUP thing.  I'm having a ball with it now.  Anyway, I bought a heavy rafters "Guide" paddle.  Since I was crouching most of the time anyway.  You could run over it with a truck and it wouldn't blink.  I went to a Kialoa adjustable so I can adjust on the fly for flatwater.

Won't be able to make from FL in time.

...but I think I bungee jumped there decades ago.

I have a buddy who's been to PR twice this winter to SUS.  No report of trouble.  He's pretty good about giving the shortboarders their space though.  And he's pretty big.  ;)

I rehabbed myself after a sprained knee a year ago.  It was slow going.  But I hike with the dog about 1 1/2 hrs everyday, mountainbike, SUP, SUS, etc. etc. now.  It was faster after I lost the brace, but more painful.

Good luck with recovery.

Sup-position knows way too much Spock trivia.

He's one of my favorite characters.

Take a look into his career(s).  Owned a pet shop at one point.
