You may add the Gong Lethal 5'1" 95l 5.5kg, density 0.05789

But be careful with the catalog weights, they all say it is accurate, but none of them you can trust...
This week I'm receiving my Lethal 4'10" 80l 5.1kg, density 0.06375 I'll let you know if it sticks to the 5% margin of error they state in the catalog.

I concur, board weight is very important. Foil weight not that much because it is closer to the balance point, except when jumping or carrying the gear...

good info! Thanks!

Can you weight them? I'm sure the new one is heavier.

The owner of Gong explains their range of products for foils, it is very specific for their products, but there are a lot of concepts explained which are generic and help you understand foils better, like the thickness, the effect the curvature has on breaching the tips, stabilizers, etc.

I enjoyed a lot watching and as a Gong user for me it is perfect to understand better. The audio is in French, but it is subtitled so a lot of reading and sometimes pausing because the concepts he explains are not trivial.

I can't wait, just looking at the leading edge tells me what I need to know.

I read this comment the other day and got me thinking, would you be so kind to elaborate what you look in a leading edge and why? (here or in a new post)

thanks for your contributions, I have been reading some of your adventures and they are.... at least entertaining  ;D

Gong has some options:

The neutra

And the Pulse:

Both very competent at regular sizes, but at 2m... I don't know.

Travel, Trips, Destinations / Re: Sup in the south of France

I live in the north of spain, in the east coast, close to France, and I assure there are many good places to ride, mostly flatwater, but there are a couple of places with waves, of course it is the mediterranean, and the waves are highly disorganized.

If you want to discover some good routes you can go to wikiloc.com an search for kayac routes in the area, for instance this is a good area to go:

http://es.wikiloc.com/wikiloc/map.do#lt=42.250377&ln=3.325424&z=6&k=0&tab=0&a=11

you can find tons of routes like this one:
http://es.wikiloc.com/wikiloc/view.do?id=1764514

if you need a place to rent a SUP there are plenty in the touristic areas, if you want to buy one there is an area with a lot of surf shops near 'Leucate' in the south of France.

I hope that was of help to you.
