I use these:
https://www.mackiteboarding.com/stringfellow-universal-quickset-track-nuts/

It was a little fiddly getting them set exactly but, I've been using them for almost a year and they've never needed readjusting.

A buddy who can’t get registered for this forum just sent me his review.

I can't seem to get approved for the standupzone forum. I register and it emails back the admin will approve me but that never happens...tried several times . Probably some email blockage issue.

I had a similar issue when I tried to register. I emailed the site support address and received a reply stating that I should try to register again using a very obvious water sports name. It worked and then I changed my username back to what I wanted in the user control panel.

I'm interested in the 5, 4, and 2. Possibly even the 3.

I want to push up the speed I take turns with, I think it's the best way for me to make consistent foiling jibes and tacks.

When I want a fast, tight turn, I tend to keep some wind in my wing (like Alan Cadiz pictured below).
Powering rather than gliding thru the carve. Maybe that's why I didn't notice much difference in speed between the 92 and the 66.

Axis 660/400     ~130lb rider.

The wind started howling the other day after I already had a couple of good sessions. So, I thought i might as well try switching my 920 for the 660. I was really pessimistic about my chances of success but, surprisingly, it popped up on foil pretty easily and off I went. I rode fine until time to gybe. It was my weak side gybe where I switch feet before the carve. As soon as I started to move my feet, it was like trying to stand on a wet bar of soap. Strong side gybes, were I switch feet after the carve were more manageable but, not as easy as with the 920. After a while, I started having better luck with gybes by flying my wing over my head and hanging weight from it while switching. But I still crashed a lot more than I would on the 92.

Overall, It worked fairly well. Those that don't switch stance my not have any issues at all.
Top end speed seemed about the same as the 92. Maybe turned a little tighter. Maybe a little quicker to accelerate. Definitely way less stable.
For me, I"ll keep it as I high wind option. Aside from that I don't think it has any advantage over the 92.

It’ll give Andy, Ross and Billy time to shoot past me on skills!

Unless you think that you'll be down for a very, long time, I think that you'll still be well past us.
Anyway, we'll miss you in the mean time.

BTW, do you think you could still kitefoil?
When I broke my finger a couple of years ago, I was able to kite with my finger splinted.

Cool, I get a cameo in the background.

BTW, I sometimes get the feeling that Dave is too humble.
I would be completely stoked to do a 360 if I stayed upright.
He seems to discount them when he has the slightest touchdown. ;D

I'm a similar height and weight as you.
If you want to ride in lighter winds, then you probably do need a 5m.
However, I don't think I would recommend a large sized F-one to someone our height.
By all accounts they are great wings but, they have long wingspans. You might struggle to keep the wingtip out of the water. Look for more squared off wingtips. more of a wider/shorter rather than taller/skinnier wing.

I'm using Duotone wings. Partially because I like the boom but, also, because they have more v-shape than other wings. I assumed that would make it easier to keep the wingtip out of the water. Whether that's true in pratice, I couldn't honestly say.

Good luck and enjoy.

ObxDave- Which Axis front wing are you using. Do you guys ever swap out foils to test back to back?

Hi Cnski --  That's my Axis in the pic -- straight beginner setup: 1020 front, 500 rear, short fuse, 76 cm mast.  It's has been great for an average (at best) kite foiler to learn on.  But I haven't foiled with any other wing over 1200 cm^2

And mine on Dave's old board. I have an Axis 92 with a short fuse and 400 rear wing. With 60 and 76 cm masts.
Dave uses Gong and Moses foils. Amongst the others in our group we have one using Lift, one using Naish, and one using Slingshot foils.
